The Pen is Mightier than the Sword

A forest gal

Peredhil puts finishing touches on the Birthday Room, which is decorated as a gentle glade in a forest. Babbling brooks lend their music to the scene, as ivy gently links the trees in love. Small kittens play innocently, so sweet even cat-haters melt.

Elladan, a welcome yet surprising addition to Peredhil's plans, sets about security, securing perimeters and setting wards so subtly that no one need be offended. Intelligent and aware of the irony, Elladan realizes the he has a weak spot for the shy girl. How in the world had he turned around and realized that she was inside all his barriers? Smiling slightly at himself, he continued with his task.

"Youse really missed a great time on dat date Nunce." Nuncio sighed as he readjusted the streamers Guido had knocked down as his brother gestured largely. Guido had been talking in this vein since midnight. His date with Ayshela was one of the most pleasant times of the last five years to him tell him. Tuning Guido out, the portly pig double-checked his weapons and spell-items. He'd won the contest and got to be Ayshela's Bodyguard for the party.

Elrohir wandered around, apparently doing little but smiling as he watched the others, observant as always.

Throwing open the Party Room door, they began the Elder's celebration.

Ayshela sat quietly a moment. She was distracted by thought and the celebrations had not yet started, but then she looked up at the sight of movement. Sitting above her desk the rose Gwaihir had given began to move.

Slowly but clearly it's petals moved and spelt out 'Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday'

The gentle babble of the brook turns to frantic splashes and gurgles as fish begin hopping out of the river and ricocheting around on the Cabaret Room floor. A scaly claw emerges from the water and clutches at a rock prop, promptly dislodging it and falling back into the water with a *clunk-sploosh.* The splashes and gurgling continue until a scaly tail emerges from the depths and hooks itself to a sturdy treebranch by means of its stinger. Wyvern slowly crawls from the depths, using his tail for stability and hacking up wet ash as soon as his snout surfaces. The lizard wobbles as he stands up straight near the river bed, then takes a step forward only to slip on a stray fish and go rolling down a short incline of "poison ivy bush" props. Wyvern lays face down on the ground by Ayshela's feet for several minutes before nnoticing the familiar shoe fashion and hopping up with a grin.

"Hope you had a great one, Ayshela." Wyvern pats Ayshela on the back with one of his soaked claws. "*Ahem* So, I got us this party game... it'ssss called "Bear No Fish," and it's based around catching all the hopping fish before they attract any menacing bears that may have been hired for the occasion. But hey, at least there're no snakes."

Ayshela opens her mouth to respond, only to watch as Wyvern pounces at a fish hopping across the ground. The overgrown lizard misses by a mile, and his wet scales cause him to slide like a serpent... back in the direction of the babbling brook.

"Noooooooo!" Wyvern claws at mud and "poison ivy bush" props in the hopes of slowing his slide. "Halllllp, you have no idea how boring that brook's babble is!"

;-p

OOC: A Happy Birthday to you, Ayshela. ^_^
