I've been following Mr. McGill for a while. He's impressive. This might make a good thing for our list of links, if members like it. ~Peredhil Peredhil Seal of Approval of the Rhyming Dictionary for any musician, writer or lyricist. 100% FREE! Dictionary is available HERE

Interesting idea for those who would want to do it. The accounts are free there; perhaps we could include it in the List of Links? Personally, I think that a competition format like this is contrary to the spirit of cooperation and support here at the Pen. It's so easy for something like this to become popularity, or drift into supporting "comfort zone" reading and neglecting someone who dares push edges. Also many writers are more sensitive than they might think; it's difficult enough sometimes to write from the heart inside of the head, and then share it. Entering it in a contest that received no votes at all could be more painful than a new writer can conceive. Many writers will read my comments and think, "you've got to be kidding?" or "Sheesh, just toughen up!" But making this a supportive place like life "should" be and isn't is one of the Pen traits which keeps me coming back here to my online family. -Pendantic Peredhil's two-cent speech.

This is absolutely amazing. It reminds me of some Celtic memory rhymes I studied, or of reading Proverbs, or pretty much any book of wisdom Good format, good choices, nice progressions. You've grown so much since you first came here. I'm so proud of you. *hugs*

oh, VERY happy birthday! In real life or online, you are uniquely awesome. I love the way your mind processes life.

Heh, all I remember is how to say, "thank you" in Korean. How Peredhilish is that? Be well and come home safely please.

I've never had a problem with you of which I was aware from my side, which leaves me quite delighted to see you again. *hugs* Welcome back!

I have three compilation CDs from the man who introduced me to good hip hop. And a number of great memories from the man who would stroll DC with me, who's played my FARS, who's comforted me when down and shared joy when I was up. And that's all outside the Pen. In the Pen, nothing can add to what he demonstrates daily in his dedication, devotion, and talent to the community. Thanks for putting up with me. *fierce hugs*

You've such potential and talent, I'm glad it's recognized to the point you can pursue and develop it.

Have you ever... Lain in bed not getting up because you couldn't remember who you were going to be that day? Listened in horror as the Wrong Words leaked from your mouth despite your minds saying, "Don't say that!" Been in love with the idea of someone so much so that you were reluctant to meet them in fear reality would destroy it? Focused on and gathered pain so you could transform it into the energy required for action? Felt so drained that speaking was like pushing word-boulders up from deep in your belly, up and over your tongue one by one? Follow-up: Had to focus on the motion of tongue and lips to prevent slurring? Have you ever accepted your lack of dexterity to the point that you no longer notice the day's bruises on hips and legs from colliding into things? Have you ever wondered where you got a scar you found?

Peredhil considers the cake carefully after hearing its plea until he finds the spot where the frosting needs smoothing. Carefully fixing the rough spot, he nods in Polite satisfaction and presents Happy Budda with his gift, a Peredhil-ish Hug of Approval Happy happy!

Peredhil FINALLY makes it to the Birthday Room, just long enough to drop off some new magic crayons for the demonette... Missing you...

Peredhil politely and gently curses his limited time at keyboards. If I'm remembering correctly, Ozy Zool and I pretty much met in a discussion over the significance of upside-down crosses at the Archmage game. When the public thread was getting too much static to continue communication, we exchanged marvelous emails. Historically-minded Peredhil

The light was gleaming at a slant through the windows, and turning GeldrinHor's hair into a nimbus of glory. To be honest, Peredhil had forgotten just how much and how easily the Morning Mage laughed. Not having been a Legionaire, his memories included the fiercely protective flashing eyes of this gentle teasing man. Mission accomplished, Peredhil left to make a doctor's appointment. "You see," Peredhil bent and murmured in GeldrinHor's ear as he prepared to leave, "I told you that you'd find at least ONE other person who remembered you!"

His name was "Five". And he did indeed carry the ships ashore. If you recall Yrrana, there was a possibility of player characters having an "innate power". In the pursuit of justice, non-player characters had a possibility as well, just not as likely. Five's innate power I'll not define, but it enabled him to wade into the waters, get a firm grasp on a ship, and carry it into the dry-dock frame. It has always seemed pointless to me to have a power that didn't allow for the entire package - for example, if a power were strength, by implication it should increase the constitution to avoid damaging the spine from the object lifted. Innate powers were a method of evolutionary competition - it answered the FARS question: given the presence of an enormous source of power in the environment, in what manners would the environment adapt to use said source? Oh, no, it wasn't a Giant, that's a specific race. He *was* at the extreme of the Yrranan human norm, however, in so much as he was 90 inches tall, and weighed approximately 375 pounds. There is an instance of a Ribbon Dancer of Wreave taking offense at being jostled by Five, and attacking him. The fight lasted until Five connected with a partial blow; the Dancer was last seen somewhere over the bay. If you've seen it, think Sin City's fight between Marv and the Frodo-fellow with lemur eyes, whatever his name is.
