The murmers of conversation running throughout the party quickly fade to silence. Wyvern clears his throat, and then announces: "Very well. First, I would like to thank all of you for coming to this most sorrowfull and yet at the same time joyous event. This is undoubtedly one of the largest gatherings of Archmages Terra has ever seen. It's nice to see so many faces, both old and new... Now, if you would all be seated around the Great Banquet Table of the ballroom, we can commence the speeches." The party all gathers around the huge table and everyone is seated. Wyvern raises his glass. "A toast to both Brute and Cheyenne!" All Archmages raise there glasses and cheer. She notices an obviously-drunk mage drooling on the tablecloth at a table across the way, and wracks her brain to remember his name... Oh, yes... Jechum. From the sick and evil leer on his face, she is certain that she does not want to know the nature of his dream. Probably, he's dreaming of unmentionable things to do with the lovely archangel lady called Amber. She'd noticed him ogling the kind woman earlier, before she'd joined the table. With a smirk and a shrug, Yui turned her head from the drunken slob and gave the ... talkative person called Grak a nod and a friendly smile. Jechum's smile grows larger as if he seems to think someone has done something both wittedly and intelligently, as drool continues to go down his chin. Jechum stands up "Why can't we all just get along? This man handling of people has got to stop!" and falls back to the ground, still wearing only Ishmael's beer keg. Yui Temae mercifully and gracefully puts Jechum back into his place. OOC: Yui Temae nice way to handle the situation. I wish you would have used kinder words but some people really need to stop man-handling other people. Someone went so far as to edit one of my post that to a keen reader was very suggestive, but still rated "G". I do not want to ruin the party. He is more than deserving of a few antics without which we would all not have had so much fun with him at our side, as he is the King of Antics. I truely enjoyed every post that you wonderful people have taken the time to write, the funny, comic even embarrassing is fun to read and participate in. If some toes have been stepped on, don't worry about it or plot your revenge for the next party that is thrown. Thank you for all taking the time to post these messages to Brute (and some to myself) it was very thoughful and heartwarming and I hope noone leave let down or put out. My best of wishes to you all. Jechum rushes to the to catch some of the people heading for the door. "Remember we are here for "Brute's Farewell" after all. If the guests are begging you to stay, - for Brute Sake! - Stay! - At least a little longer anyway and see how things progress. We could always slip out when no one is looking." Jechum slips over to Gyrfalcon and Cheyenne "I would recommend that you take over as bouncer, if you don't want some of the more esteemed guests to leave. I think a subtle and capable hand is need." To assist in this endeavor, Jechum releases an illusionary fog that bends the ear and warps the eye just slightly enough that will cause some comments or actions to be missed, by those who, being who they are would normally react aggressively. "That should allow everyone to stay and have a good time. It is Brutes going away after all! Shouldn't somebody make a pool of booze and get this party really started?" Knight asks Arawn, "Where is your date friend? I haven't seen who you've brought with you to this grand party. Do tell, where is she? And, rather, who is she? Smiling at Zool, Knight inquires as to how he and Claudia are enjoying themselves. Knight admitted that he had before made a mistake with Zool. Although, Grak was still trying to chat with various ladies at the party. "Poor little guy," says Knight, pointing over to him, "I wonder what happened to his date?" And where is Yui's boyfriend Aegon? Damn, he wished Aegon was here. He knew he should have made a summon Aegon card, while he had the chance. "So gentlemen," Amber said, her beuatiful white teeth flashing, "how are you all doing tonight? It has been awhile Arawn." Arawn, looked at her. "I've been fine. And you my dear?" She smiled, and said, "Just fine, thank you. Have a nice night Arawn." Knight and Amber walk around, talking to the various mages, even Grak, who was awestricken at the size difference between the two. Knight decided that he should give Grak a fresh start. It was for the better that way. Walking over to Tamaranis, who was seated, drinking a Chaos beast, the couple smiled. Amber said, "Pray vampire, do tell where your date is?" Tamaranis looked up startled, seeing that the dominion was actually speaking to him, instead of trying to lop his head off with a sword. You don't mind being Lansing's best friend (Lansing is Amber's father) do you? I would like to tie you in with this a bit. IC: Walking over to Seraph, the dragonrider and the younger dominion spoke to the other dominion. Oddly, unlike most other dominions, Amber only had one set of wings. Knight and Amber smiled, and made small talk with the elder dominion. "Knight, you are half dominion correct?" said Seraph, in a quiet manner, as to not disturb the other guests. "Yes sir, I am. Why?" Answered Knight, calmly, unlike his usual self, sensing an answer of importance to him was coming. "Was your father named Rufio?" Arawn rolls his eyes. *WHAP!!* The woman hits Arawn on his head, Arawn is knocked out of his chair. "Don't you roll you eyes you wanker!!" She kicks him with he high heels, Arawn becomes a bloody mess on the floor. Arawn doesn't get up as all the guest stare at the purple haired woman, "Oh bugger! Well I guess it's supposed to be friendly event." She starts to chant and her hair turns green, Arawn is healed and gets up. "Ouch!" Says the Mad King as he gets up "Well you deserved it!" The now green haired woman yelled "I hate when you roll your eyes!" Arawn rubs where the hole in his head was,"Anyway this is Amber a Dominion friend, and here escort Knight, I told you about them remember?"
