  1. Well written indeed. And a big *hug* hun. Good luck (k)
  2. Appy

    New version

Yes, thank you indeed! At first I was confused and thought I got redirected for some reason, but then I recognised the old familiar rooms in their spiffy blue jackets, looking kindof sheepish at eachother like first-years on a school with uniforms. I'm sure it's all lovely and the update was a necessary one, so once again, Thank you!
  3. \o/\o/\o/\o/ Welcom back! **hugglehuggle** Ofcourse we haven't forgotten you, silly
  4. And you know what? I could believe that that first Bush quote wasn't gobblecook but him saying something he wasn't actually supposed to say in public, but wich was on his mind a lot nonetheless.
  5. I don't understand what the accomplishment is. There is no use to this ritual apart from getting spooked and pissing off entities who can become a lot more violent than depicted in the story. Seriously stupid and respectless.
  6. I'd probably smile at it...
  7. I can only give my personal reasons of course, but in my eyes it wasn't a failure. The main reason why I stopped is because it went from it's leisurely pace to insane high-way ghost driving pace and I just can't keep up with that (my AFK gets in the way ;p) The OOC thread might've helped, like Tanny said, but again, for me that would've meant even more reading ;p I am sorry we didn't continue on that path though, the concept was the first in years to catch my attention and dust off some old characters I liked it while it lasted is what I wanna say, sorry for not giving more feedback on how to improve, I think Tanny said most of it already anyways
  8. *small pet on the head*
  9. "Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the FLOOOOOOOORRRRRRR!" Rocking her air guitar Appy screamed into the microphone stand when the first meteor struck. Thinking it to be mere playfulness of fire-mages Appy grinned at the proper display of violence to accompany her mood and continued rocking. The huge headphones on her head had a long cord trailing towards a small laptop. She was in serious danger of entangling herself in it when the second meteor hit, closely followed by a third. Appy's mouth dropped open and she rushed to her window, pulling of the headphones and stepping clear of the cord in one movement. Feeling the heat on her bare arms she took two steps back again. "No" Not bothering to open it, she rammed through the door and ran towards the gate leading to the forest. "NOOO!"
  10. Apaltra tapped her staff on the ground and once more a tree shifted out of the path of a meteor. Ground boiled, ponds evaporated and still the verdant mage of long ago stood her ground. There was a blue shimmer hugging her, sizzling whenever a meteor struck close. Sparks trailed to the ground as if deflecting power. It was taking every inch of self-control for Finx not to drag her out. He prowled near the castles perimiters, barely noticing Tzim hop-skipping past him. He knew she should be safe, as safe as a mage of her stature in possession of a wand that powerful should be. For as long as the barrier held. And that's where he worried.
  11. That he was... that he was...
  12. We found this on the almighty internetz and I wanted to share. They are movies of an anthropologists class going through a world simulation. It's very accurate and very applicable to real life as we know it. Scary too ;p The youtube movie is about an hour of movie time squished into a few minutes, but if you pause at the explanations, you'll be able to follow it well enough. The second link leads to the full movie. I was fascinated, as I'm sure some of you will be also http://worldsim.wetpaint.com/?t=anon
  13. And a happy unBirth Day to you!
  14. I am reminded of the woman in front of the bank in the Marry Poppins movie.. very nice *leaves a chunk of cheese for murdering*

  16. I have a mean will to confound myself, embrace myself with a straight jacket to impound myself and brace myself with a straight jacket I do not feel that I am meant to be happy with myself [27 juni 2008, Rotterdam] ~ edit from the far future.. I don't remember the layout of this one and I can't find it anywhere! So if it doesn't scan with the comments, now you know why ~
  17. "Cookie! Cookie! Cookie! Cookie!" A small girl with an impossible mess of long blond hair bounces in on her pink skippyball while reciting one of her favorite chants. "Cookie! Cookie! Cookie!" The girl slides her skippyball to a halt in front of the plate and comes close to headbanging the cookies on top. "Cookie?!" she asks, while grabbing two. "Appy! You already HAD a whole plate this morning! And I was saving them for after dinner too.." The druid-hunter-like figure strides through the lurkers and pinches her nose with a sigh at the sight of Appy gobbling the two cookies without any notion of having heard her. Only after looking at the ceiling in despair does the woman take notice the rest of the people in the room, the banner behind the little podium and the tense and embarrassed feeling of the room. "Oh" The little girl, mouth covered in cookie crumbles, bounces over to Apaltra. "Look! All our friends are here! There's Mr. P. Hiya! An' that necromancer you used to fancy.. or was that someone else, I forget. You don't fancy just anybody though, so a necromancer could've been it, right? Oh! An' that other girl, with the cookies! Thank you for those! I wonder what they're all doing here?" The hunter sighed again and pointed out the banner while avoiding any eye contact in the room. The girl babbled too much, that was the problem. "Ooooooooooooh" Appy bounced forward a bit and turned towards Apaltra, pointing at the banner, "That's us too, right? I mean, I do stuff, I'm sure of it, but all you do is read an' read an' sigh an' train an' read some more. Right?" Beaming, Appy bounced towards Apaltra again. "Yes little one, we are among same-minded people here. But I wonder about needing to be here. I see no problem with what I do. And neither should you! What I do is my business, remember?" Apaltra gave Appy a threatening look which the girl waved away. "Yeah yeah, you be like that. But I'm going to introduce myself. This looks like it could be fun!" Appy bounces onto the stage and beams at her audience, making some of them very nervous with her happy stare. "Hiya! I'm Appy and I lurk! Lurking is fun, you get to see stuff you would otherwise not see an' this one time I even saw something that I'm not allowed to repeat but I tell ya, that sure was some interesting thing you can do with a ... " at this point Apaltra pulls a finger across her throat and Appy mumbles into silence for a moment. "In any case, the cookies are good and I'm here to talk about the fun of lurking!" Beaming, Appy bounces back towards the cookies as Apaltra exits stage right. (no idea how she did that last bit, must be obligatory humour or something)
  18. *huggles* I love this, and you rock! The way the sentences overflow in one another through the single words in between, the things you say (I adore the imagine of city's being illusions of grandeur), very well done. You still know what you're doing *huggles again, just because she can*
