  1. Blondmoon I miss you hon! I wish that we could spend more time talking together, it's been ages. Send me your phone number again! I lost it! lol. Be brave my little one, the world isn't always a big and ugly place. Saliyne Hehe, advice giver. That's what I will always think of you as. Thank you for having more faith in me then I have in myself and nudging me to do what I have to, to get what I deserve.
  2. Annael slowly wanders the ground, browsing here and there, giggling at this and that and stopping to watch Wyvie as he tries to get some tricks. Shaking her head slowly, Annael starts to turn away, pulling her cloak closer around her when she notices the Kissing Booth. Raising an eyebrow, she watches as Signe walks away with an odd look on her face. Looking at Elrohir manning the booth, Annael smiles a little and starts to walk towards the elf. Elrohir stopped looking out at the crowd when he noticed a figure walking towards him from the corner of his eye. Turning to watch the woman walking towards him, he blinked when he took in the bare feet, the long dark cloak, curly black hair with one blue butterfly sitting in a curl by her ear, and the tilted halo. "Annael I assume?" Raising her head from watching her path through the mud, she nodded to Elrohir and dropped a few geld in the cup. Smiley softly to the elf, she nodded her head again, turned and walked away.
  3. A little butterfly flutters to the poster, shakes some dust onto it and flies away. It butterfly dust..... Annael
  4. The Unknown Annael blinked and gasped for air. It froze her throat, making it close, and her teeth ache. Even the little butterfly on her ear was shivering, it's little feet like ice on her flesh. "When did it go so cold in here?" Her voice stopped, as if hitting a wall except no echo came back to her. It didn't carry, as if it was nothing. Maybe that was just it, she was IN nothingness. Shifting a little on the hard ground, all feeling to her body gone, she heard a sharp sound, that of a thousand icicles cracking. Closing her eyes and making her body as still as possible, she didn't dare move. Breathing a little prayer, the little butterfly slowly crawled it's way over her ear, down her neck and to her shoulder. The little butterfly froze and whispered if it could return to the saftey of her ear. Annael quickly answered that she had to know. It's tiny feet barely moving, the butterfly glided over to a feather and fluttered its wings ever so softly. It leapt into the air to hover over Annael's head as the feather shattered into a thousand crystalized pieces. As the pieces of the one feather fell onto other feathers, they too shattered and broke. Hanging her head, Annael listened as they all slowly fell away. The only witness to something that was only ever whispered about was the little butterfly trying to hide itself in a curl of the bowed head from sadness.
  5. Annael smiles softly and pets the butterfly sitting on her ear Believe it or not, this little guys make great gifts. Every year I try to give a few of these guys out to those that we think may get comfort from their presence. They're always there when you need them, and when you don't. They don't pass judgement on you and they love you unconditionally. Annael shrugs and looks around at the darkness surrounding her. And when you're lost, they give you a little bit of hope when it seems like there is none left.
  6. Lee Ann Womack actually has a song that is this question exactly. Something Worth Leaving Behind ..."but if I will love, then I will find that I have touched another life and that's something something worth leaving behind..." I have been published. *shrugs* so my name will continue on in something. But that doesn't really mean anything to me I guess. I have passed up on my own opportunities to be happy just to see my friends happy. Some people call me a fool for doing this, that I'm just being used. In fact, there are some people that refer to me as a carpet for the way that I allow myself to be walked on, but in my heart I know that I am doing what I think is right. That's just the way that I am. If I can make someone smile, laugh, feel loved and good about themselves, then I can die tomorrow knowing that I have done one of the best things in the world that I could possibly ever have done. Love.
  7. Annael blinks, looks around her, shrugs then joins the line Oh what the hell, it's almost Christmas....
  8. words flowing tastefully across our minds, a lovely world of make-believe its a true treasure to find
  9. Heart pounding so hard it hurt her ears, she slowly opened her eyes to the darkness surrounding her. Thick as molasses, the only sound in the room was her harsh breathing, and the pounding of her heart. The soft flannel sheets against her bare skin told her she was in her bed. Licking her dry lips, she tasted a slight metallic flavour. Trying to slow her breathing, she realised that her tongue was sore. She must have biten it in her sleep, during her nightmare. Sitting up slowly and swinging her legs over the side of the bed, the coldness of the hardwood floor against her toes was a shock to her system, helping her to wake up. Closing her eyes and rubbing the bridge of her nose, she heard a shifting behind her and stiffened as a hand roughly clamped onto her arm. The real nightmare had just begun.
  10. definetly a treasure worth remembering. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
  11. Somewhere out there... Annael frowned and slowly opened her eyes to see...nothing. Literally. Pitch black and nothing. Lifting a hand to where she supposed her face was, it felt like trying to move her hand through molasses. The air was thick and sticky, making it hard to breathe. Finally finding her face with her hand, Annael felt for her eyes to see if there was anything covering them. Finding nothing, she sighed with resignation. "I thought people were joking when they said that you could fall into a black hole that is your life." Feeling around her, Annael brushed her hand over something on the ground. It felt like it had little wings. Crying out, she tenderly cupped her hand over the little butterfly and breathed softly on it. Seeing a little shimmer of light starting on the wings, she breathed on it again. After a few minutes of such care, the butterfly was it's normal shiny blue self. Settling itself on the tip of her ear and in a curl, it let it's tiny feet tattoo a soft rhythm on Annael's ear. It was a comfort to the both of them. The butterfly provided a little light into the darkness. Annael saw that she was on a ledge. A sheer rock wall on one side, and nothingness on the other. Seeing a rock, she picked it up and dropped it off the nothingness side. Nothing. "Hmm..that's not a good thing." Annael said as she softly rubbed the little wings of her only companion. Trying to streatch her wings, and winced and stopped the painful movements. "That's not a good thing either. Well Little One, I think that I've got us into a pickle this time." Moving to sit with her back against the rock wall, Annael slowly slid down to sit on the ledge. "Hello??? Anyone out there??" Annael cried out, a little out of panic, knowing she wasn't going to get an answer. The echo of laughter that came back at her on the ledge made her press back against the wall. "This is so not cool."
  12. check out the OOC! Check out the R.L./Party Size/Timing coordination thread! A group of butterflies fly into the room, each moving so quickly that they keep bumping into eachother. Pennites can't help but notice the crazy butterflies and started to wonder about their antics. A small band of butterflies seperated from the rest, and it was then that it was visible that a piece of paper was held in their tiny feet. Flying over to Gyrfalcon, they dropped the paper at his feet and found places of their own to rest: on members of the pen. Brushing a butterfly from his nose, Gry bent down and picked up the paper. It read: I have take your angel hostage. Don't worry, I won't hurt her. I might tarnish her halo more then it already is, and her wings, well, I'll just pluck some feathers from it. Who knows, after her time with me, she might be better off. Odds are she won't be, but it's a gamble that I'm willing to take. You can try and find her if you like. Actually, I encourage you to do so. Good luck. Let the game begin. Life. After reading the note, Gyr looked around the room. Butterflies were everywhere. A bright pink one was sitting on Wyv's nose. "What are we supposed to do with these critters in the mean time??" Wyv asked, then cried out as the little pink one decided to take offense to the name critter and bit his snout. "Well, I guess we'll just have to keep them safe for Annael until she returns," Saliyne said and giggled as she acquired a new pair of butterfly earrings. Mr. Bunny looked in disgust at his stick, which was rainbow coloured now. "How 'bout we go and look for her so that she can take them back, like now?" A few mummers of agreement travelled throughout the room, then died down as Peredhil stood up from his place by the fire, a toupee of butterflies gracing his head. "I suggest we look for Annael. Who's with me?" And let the story begin. The names mentioned in this opening are not obligated to participate in the story. It's just a beginning. Who knows if this will even fly, but I decided to give it a try. Feel free to write. This might be very entertaining
  13. this sounds bad, and when you figure it out, it's even worse: guy1 "how tight do you want it?" guy2 "as tight as you can make it" girl "he wants it as tight as me!" after: girl "see, told you I was tight, no balls went it." *open mouth, insert foot* then the comments followed. hehe.
  14. Well, considering that I got into a huge shouting match with my father over this, all I have to say is this: Choose wisely, lives depend on it. And in the end, that's all that really matters, doesn't it?
  15. Just something that came to me....dunno where it's going, but let me know what you think.... She moved to the music, a slow gyration of her body in the seat. The car speeding down the road, her hair blowing in the wind, the end of her cigarette a red glow in the black night. She was running. Well, driving to be specific. But running none the less. It was a beautiful night for running. The road was quiet. No one in sight. No one to ask her where she was going, when she’d be back, why she was running. She didn’t really have an answer for any of those questions herself. That’s why she was thankful that there was no one there to ask her. All she knew was that she was running. She figured that east would be as good a direction as any. No specific place in mind. Just….east. Why the east? No particular reason. She figured that it was a good enough place to start then any. And the east couldn’t be that bad. The sun always rose there. But seriously, her mothers’ family was from the east coast. Good ol’ New Brunswick. She’d been there when she was eight for her cousin’s wedding. She didn’t really remember anything about it except that it was green. And she had been to Halifax in July. The people on the east coast were friendly. Yes, a stereotype of all Canadians is that they are extremely friendly, but people on the east coast are just more so then people from Toronto. It’s like they don’t know how to be mean. Sure, there has to be mean people on the east coast, but she hadn’t met any in her travels. Besides, at least in the east she has people that she could run to. If anything ever happened, there would be people that she could lean on. Not that she liked the thought of leaning on anyone, but at least she knew that should situations become dire, there was somewhere that she could turn. Jade sighed and reached for her coffee. Triple cream, triple sugar. That’s the only way that she could drink her coffee. She looked down to put the coffee cup back in its cup holder then glanced up at the road again. She cursed and slammed on the brakes, quickly turning the wheel to the left. Standing in the middle of her lane, was a little boy. “Oh my god. I could’ve hit you. Kid, what were you thinking of standing in the road like that! Don’t you know it’s dangerous?” Jade yelled as she jumped out of the car and ran over to the little boy to see if he was injured. “Are you hurt? I didn’t hit you or anything did I?” Running her hands over his head and across his shoulders then down his arms, Jade quickly checked for injuries. Jade stopped her and looked the little boy in the face as he mumbled something. “What was that sweetie?” “No, you didn’t hit me. And no, I’m not hurt.” The boy said in a soft and extremely gentle voice. Jade could feel her fear slowly drain out of her body. She stood up slowly and looked down at the little boy. She gave a little smile as he lifted his arms up to her with a soft command of, “up.” Jade lifted the child into her arms and started back to her car. “Where did you come from? I know that it wasn’t from another car since I haven’t seen one for hours. And I don’t remember seeing any houses.” The boy shook his head and played with the short black curls resting on the back of Jade’s neck. “Okay, if you don’t want to tell me, that’s fine. At least tell me your name.” Jade said as she buckled him into the front seat of her car. She slowly pushed his black bangs away from his eyes. “You know, you could almost be my son we look so much alike.” Jade shook her head then went around to the driver’s side and slid in behind the wheel. She turned to look at the child and saw him watching her. “Night. My name is Night.” Jade smiled and held out her hand to shake the little boy’s. “Hello Night. I’m Jade Keller.” The little boy giggled and carefully shook hands with Jade.

  18. a giant sea turtle came up from under the sand. Vinnie and Melvin looked at each other and shruged before jumping onto the back of the turtle. "Where would you like to go?" The giant sea turtle asked. "Umm.....
  19. Annael was having the most lovely dream when she felt insistent tugging on her wings. Opening her eyes, she saw that she was in the library, and her butterflies were swarming around her head. "What meeting?" Annael asked as she smothered a yawn. Rubbing her eyes, she sat straight up in the chair that she had dozed in. "That meeting!" Jumping to her feet, Annael started for the door at a run when she tripped over something on the floor and went flying head first into the side table. Rubbing her head, butterflies everywhere, Annael turned to glare at the book laying on the floor, the source of her demise. "What are you doing on the floor?" Motioning to some butterflies to put the book back on the shelf where it came from, Annael got to her feet and continued on her way to the meeting in a weird sort of half shuffle-run. Opening the door mumbling to herself, she limped down the room and flopped into a seat next to Daryl, rubbing absently at a scraped elbow.
  20. Border north of me? Hmm.....no border north of me that I can think of.....unless you count Nunivut
  21. Annael was sleeping quietly in the tree when a swarm of her butterflies drifted over to her, each one of them grasping a part of her clothing, wings and hair in their tiny feet and lifted her off the branch and started to fly off into the air. "What...what...what's happening here???" a flutter of wings were the reply as they continued flying. "Where??? Where are you taking me? Why are we going there? What, what do you mean I'll see? I don't want to see! I want to sleep in my tree!" The butterflies ignored their mistress and flew farther and farther away. That's right, I'm off for a little roadtrip. I'm going to Boston next week for a few days then I'm off to maine. If anyone is in that area, maybe we can arrange a meeting for a drink or something like that. I'll have all the exciting details when I get back. You know me, if there is trouble to be found, I will find it. Chao!!!!
  22. Happy BDay Doomy!!!!!!!!!!!! *lots of huggles and kisses for the crimson winged one*
  23. Annael looked around and noticed that many, many MANY of her butterflies were missing. Narrowing her eyes, she set off on a hunt to find them. "Who would dare steal my butterflies? Everyone should know by now that they are vicious vicious creatures!!! They must be daft to take my butterflies!" Storming into the keep, Annael mumbled and mumbled as she went from room to room, checking for her butterflies. After an extensive search, Annael opened the door to the ballroom. Seeing her butterflies decorating the room, and reading the banner, she began to laugh. "Fine, you guys hang out on the walls until tomorrow, have fun being decoration!!! And wish Tas a happy happy birthday for me!!" Taking her hand out from behind her back, Annael held one perfect, shinning black feather. Walking over to the table, Annael placed it next to the box that Zariah had left as a birthday present. Turning to look at the walls again, Annael gave a little wave of her hand and smiled as each butterfly began to twinkle differe colours. "There we go, that adds a little more umph! Zariah had a good idea to use you guys, but she's lucky that you didn't decide to nibble on her hair and clothes on the way here. Hehe..." Laughing to herself, Annael left to take up her normal spot in her tree out in the Courtyard.
  24. Annael watched Gyr leave, and sighed. "To be able to sleep, what a glorious ability...I hope the library has an interesting book for me to read." She made her way into the keep, almost tripping over a sleeping Daryl who was curled up just inside the doorway. "Ah, you do make it easy for me, don't you?" She leaned down and picked up the sleeping fox, carefully cradling him in her arms. Daryl gave a little murmur and cuddled closer to her. Giving a little smile at the sleeping pile of fur, Annael made her way to the library. Nodding to a butterfly to get her a book, Annael settled into a chair, scratching Daryl behind the ears as she waited. Blinking her eyes, she rested her head back and wondered at being so tired so suddenly, then was soon asleep. The butterfly drifted over to the sleeping angel and hesitated before resting the book on the side table. Hovering above Annael's head, the butterfly waivered a bit before slowly coming to rest on Daryl's nose. Soon, the butterfly itself was asleep. The figure in the shadow's smiled as it slowly emerged and walked over to the sleeping trio. Removing his cape, he draped it lightly across Annael, Daryl and the butterfly, making sure that there was an opening for Daryl to breathe, and the butterfly to flutter its wings while it dreamt. "Sleep, my angel, things are going to get hectic soon," and taking up the book that the butterfly had brought to Annael, sat down on the floor, leaning his back against the chair and started to read, making sure that Annael wouldn't be disturbed while she got some rest.
