  1. If anything happens to Wyvie, there's going to be some pissed off butterflies heading towards Cali....
  2. *Laughs and picks up The Grim Squeaker and hands back the scythe* No poking with pointy things, they don't tend to like that. I'm glad to see that some things haven't changed around here! *Smiles and happily hops up into her tree, butterflies flittering about gleefully.*
  3. Hello all. It's been forever and a day since I've been here, and I wanted to stop in and see who's still here. I see familiar names, and glad to see that some of the old Pennites are still active. If it hasn't been too long, I was hoping that I could take up residence in my tree once more... *butterflies hovered close while Annael see's if she has been forgotten*
  4. As Annael wandered throught the Recreation Center, she absently waved her hand. In her wake, were various "flowers" made up of butterflies.
  5. You're welcome! I will add you to my buddy list. Buddies are good....
  6. Oh Vlad darlin, I just signed up yesterday and I've already changed my story 3 times. BWAHAHAHAHA. Also, there's a lot of stuff going on right now, so yeah, everything is a worry for me. And I so hate worrying.
  7. Alright, so I somehow got talked into joining up this year. Bwahahahaha. This is going to be funny as heck. So yeah, if any fellow pennites signed up, feel free to add me to your buddies list, the name is still Annael. Wish me luck

Heh, do I get the these are not 100% accurate cause I'm born on the Leap Year? hehehe
  9. Annael finished packing the picnic basket and sighed, pushing a curl off her nose. "Now you guys be nice to Wyvie!! No biting him or anything like that. He'll probably freak out if he sees you guys anyways, so just be polite!!" Mumbling to herself about angel's and bad little butterflies, she straightened her skirt, fluffed her curls and picked up the jammed packed basket and went in search of her date. Wandering through the Keep, Annael smiled at people as she passed, lugging the basket and trying to shoo butterflies out of her face. Getting frustrated, Annael gave a little growl and put the basket down. "That does it! All of you, be off!" And in a flurry of wings, the little critters scattered in all directions away from their mistress. "Ermm...problems Ann?" A voice asked from behind her. Turning, Annael saw Patrick. "The little ones aren't exactly fond of Wyvern and aren't too pleased that I'm going on my date with him today, if I can ever find him that is." "I believe that I saw him in the Cabaret room earlier." Smiling at Patrick for his help, Annael picked up her basket and headed in that direction. Upon entering the Cabaret room, Annael quickly scanned the room and saw Wyvern sitting at the bar with Zool and Gwaihir. Walking over to them, Ann gave a little giggle as she saw Zool rool his eyes at Gwai as they listened to Wyvern detail his next idea for making the keep a fortune. "And then....we can advertise all the rooms we have for rent, take the profit from that and expand the ballroom and turn it into a night club! That would guarentee that more people would come and that would mean more money for me! I mean, for the keep!" Taking a drink from his tankard, Wyvie turned and saw Annael standing there with a basket on her arm. "Hi Annael! Want a drink? What do you have there?" Wyvie asked as he tried to peak under the lid of the basket. Giving his hand a little slap, Annael shook her head. "That mister, is our lunch. If you gentlemen would excuse us, Wyvie and I have a date." And with that annoucement, Annael took ahold of Wyvie's hand, mindful of the claws and began to lead him out of the room. Zool and Gwaihir looked after the pair, then at eachother and broke out laughing at the unmistakable blush that had spread across Wyvie's nose. Letting Wyvie talk about the latest candidates for the Keep as she found the perfect spot for their picnic, Annael tried not to laugh as she noticed that Wyvie seemed a little distracted and as he peered around him carefully. Taking a blanket out of the basket, Annael unfolded it and spread it on the ground under a tree. "Wyvie, what are you looking for?" Ann asked as she started to take the food out of the basket and began to spread it out on the blanket. Taking a final peak under the blanket before sitting down on a corner of it, Wyvie tried to look innocent. "Nothing, I'm not looking for anything. Say Ann, did you do something different to your hair? Your curls seem so....curly today." Hiding a smile as she moved the basket off the blanket so that she could sit, Ann decided that she wouldn't call Wyvie on the sudden change of topic. "It just one of those days I guess. What would you like to start with?" Ann asked, picking up a plate and waiting for Wyvie before she started to fill his plate. Midway through the meal, after much laughing, joking and general discussion about the keep and its inhabitants, Wyvern picked up a large bottle of honey and tried to take the lid off. "And so I said to Peredhil, 'Mr. P, I think that the best course of action would be...ouch!" Wyvie stopped talking as the lid from the honey jar went flying first into his snout and then off into the tree behind him. Trying to hold the jar steady, Wyvern gave a jump as he noticed a lonely white butterfly fly across his face, losing hold of the honey jar so that it went flying into the air only to land on his head. Looking fiercly at the butterfly as it flew off into the air away from them, then at Annael, who was trying not to laugh, Wyvern grabbed the honey jar off his head and placed it on the blanket beside him and sighed as honey started to drip down his head, all over his face, into his ears and everywhere. "Well, I guess that's it for the honey," Wyvern said as he gave a lick with his tongue to some honey that had started to drip down his lip. Frowning, Wyvern turned his head first one way, then the other, trying to make out what the noise was. "Hey Ann, do you hear that weird buzzing noise?" Wyvern stopped moving when he saw the look on fright on Annael's face, who was staring off over his shoulder. "I don't want to know, do I?" Wyvern asked. "Bees!" Annael yelled as they started to land on Wyvern. Jumping to his feet and starting to run around the tree, he tripped on the blanket and went spralling on his back. "Ahhh!!!" Wyvern started to scream as the bees started to sting him as they went for the honey that was all over his head and upper torso. Jumping to her feet, Annael rushed to where Wyvie lay and started to shake her skirt at the bees, trying to scare them off of the poor almost dragon. Giving a little shout and jumping as some of the bees turned their stingers on her, Annael didn't know what to do. Suddenly, her colourful butterflies descended from the sky and went after the bees that were attacking them. Wyvern, huddled on the ground whimpering under a blanket of bees, was quickly becoming a shimmering ball of bright, beautiful, fluttering wings. After a few moments, the butterflies lifted off of Wyvern and went flying off into the air in different directions, not one bee left behind. Rushing to Wyvern's side, Annael lifted his head and placed it in her lap. "Oh Wyvie, are you okay?" She asked as she gently kissed a particularily nasty sting that was on his snout. "If I didn't know better, I would say that your butterflies saved me." Wyvern said with a little grimace. "They did Wyvie, they did. They just came out of no where. I told them earlier to bugger off so they weren't here with us. They must have been watching though." "Really? I would've never thought...." Stopping, Wyvie's eyes crossed as he watched as a lone blue butterfly landed on that nasty sting on his snout. Giving a little giggle, as it tickled his snout with its wings, then a little shout as the sting started to tingle, he sneezed the butterfly off. "Hey, it doesn't hurt anymore." Smiling as the butterflies returned to land all over them, Annael laughed at the feeling. "These butterflies are special Wyvie. The powder on their wings can act as a healing agent if they want. They're healing you!" And laughing at the over-grown lizard as he was tickled mercilessly as he was healed, Annael smiled as a few of the little butterflies stayed with Wyvern as the others floated off, though not too far mind you as their mistress had apologised for yelling at them earlier. "It looks as though you have a few new friends Wyvie." Giving a fake sigh of disgust, his eyes sparkling, Wyvie smiled up at Annael. "One can never have too many friends, My Angel."
  10. muses suck. lol. Mine's been missing for neigh on oh....2 years now. Welcome back black
  11. Holding onto Richard for dear life, Annael didn't so much as pray that they would soon reach the town as she did beg. Finally, Rhino-Cambio came to a halt just outside the town. Annael tried to get off the back of the rhino gracefully, but ended falling into a crumpled heap. Trying to get to her feet, she glared as Richard jumped off Cambio's back and stood next to her all gracefully and proud. Gritting her teeth, Annael pushed herself to her feet and tried to take a few steps and promptly feel on her face. "Oh blooming feathers! That's it. I'm never riding on the back of a Rhino again." Annael felt Richard take a hold of her elbow and pull her to her feet. With a supporting arm around her waist, Richard helped Annael stand. "Cambio, well, I think it best if you stay here. I think that if you accompanied us into the town, it would draw attention. Mostly likely unwanted attention, don't you?" Annael said to Rhino-Cambio. Cambio lowered his head in agreement and wandered off to a grove of nearby trees and began to eat some grass. Annael looked at Richard who nodded his head and helped Annael walk into town. "Where do you think we should begin?" Richard asked as they passed various vendors selling all sorts of goods. "I'm not really sure. I guess the best way to get the townspeople to stop going after the dragon would be to talk to the town elders, don't you?" "Yes. Now we just have to find them." Stopping by a fruit stand, Richard asked the peddler if he could tell them where the elders were. "Just walk to the end of this lane, and turn left. Keep going until you see the inn. The House of the Elders is that way." Thanking the peddler, Richard and Annael made off in the way that they were directed.
  12. Good to have you back Sal
  13. Sitting on the ground with her back against one side of the tree, her knees bent and her feet braced against the other side of the tree, Annael was slowly being squished. Feeling the tree shrink some more, Annael wiggled her bum a little as her knees moved closer to her chest. Sighing and clearing her throat, she opened her mouth to speak to the tree, but no sound would come out. She had been saying female names for hours now, all to no avail. Every name that she knew had been spoken, and then a few that she made up, and still nothing happened. Resting her head against the tree, and closing her eyes, Annael never thought that she would see the end from the inside of a tree. Her butterflies fluttering about her anxiously, Annael gave a little shrug and was squeezed more by the tree. She figured she had maybe an hour more before her body wasn't going to be able to fit inside the tree anymore. Taking one of the butterflies in her hand, she whispered softly to it before taking her cupped hand and pressing it flat against the tree trunk. Feeling it flutter against her palm and then nothing, she moved her hand to see that the butterfly was gone. Outside the tree.... Richard frowned as he felt a a fluttering against the back of his neck. He moved forward a little and a butterfly flew out from behind him and hovered in front of his face. "Richard, get me out of here!" The butterfly yelled in Annael's voice. "What? How? But you're in the tree!" "Not for much longer! The tree is shrinking with me in it! If we don't get me out of here, I'm going to become sap!" "Hmmm. Can you move away from the trunk any?" "Not much, but I will try. What are you going to do?" "I'm going to try and break you out." Richard stood up and put Cambio off to the side so that he wouldn't be hurt by pieces of the tree. He cocked his head to the side as he received instructions on the best course of action. Short of having an axe to try and get into the tree, Richard was going to have to use his hands. Removing his jacket and throwing it off to the side, he rolled his neck and shrugged his shoulders to relax them a bit. Taking a deep breath, he drew back his right arm and punched the tree. Surprisingly, his fist went right through it. Lifting an eyebrow in surprise, he felt a hand clutch his. "I think you just pissed off the tree! It's shrinking faster!" Richard withdrew his hand and started to tear at the bark, ripping pieces off and throwing them to the side. Annael started from the inside, giving a little shriek as the tree pressed in on her. Annael managed to squeeze her head and shoulders through the hole that she and Richard had made. "Quick, pull me out! Pull me out!" Richard grabbed Annael by the arms and pulled on her. She braced her feet on the opposite side of the inside of the tree and pushed. With an "oumph" Annael flew out of the tree and into Richard, both of them tumbling onto the ground, arms, legs and butterflies everywhere. They ended up a few feet from the tree. Sitting up and pushing curls out of her eyes, Annael eyed the tree that had held her captive. "Suddenly, I have an aversion to this forest. What say you we get out of here?" Richard got to his feet and helped Annael up. "I couldn't agree more. Let's collect Cambio and make our way to that town." Stopping to grab his coat, Richard shrugged into it and picked Cambio up from where he had placed him. He started off through the trees when he felt Annael slip her hand into his. "Sorry, I don't feel like being dinner again. And unless you feel like carrying me, I'm holding tight to your hand." Richard just gave a snort as he lead the way through the forest, the trees ahead surrounding them in darkness.
  14. Rev, I'm going to take a guess that the concert is going to be in Greensboro (sp) cause that's the bands home town. So yeah....we'll chill. And Ozzy, I will go where ever you want me to go. LOL! Pick a place and I'll be there with bells on. Well, not literally. Clothes, a butterfly and some wings, but no bells. Anywhoo.....I'll let you guys know about dates. Thinking sometime in August, cause the lead singer of the band is on tour through to July....so yeah, August. Besides, August will provide nice weather for a road trip. When I get more details I will lay out the plan of attack...erm....travels. No no no, Ann is not planning on taking over the USA...not at all! *tells the butterflies to shush and to stop putting words in her mouth*
  15. Her quill scratching quickly across the parchment, Annael was oblivious to the happenings of the pen around her. Absently brushing a butterfly away from her face, she continued her writings, ingrossed in the lives of her characters. Frowning as butterflies started to land on her page, her quill and all around her, Annael sighed and asked them what was the matter. Blinking in surprise, Annael quickly dropped her quill and stood up from the desk and looked around her. "Introductions, now? Oh boy." Looking at her ink smeared fingers and skirt, Annael realised that she was a mess. Rushing over to the sideboard in the room, Annael quickly went to work removing the ink from her fingers. Turning around, she looked at the swarm of butterflies flying around the room. Some were going through her closet, others tossing shoes about the room and more still sorting through ribbons and jewelry. Finally, her little friends had decided on what she was to wear. A floor length red dress drifted on the wings of butterflies towards her, as other started to undue the laces of her current attire. Giggling as the wings tickled her skin, Annael quickly changed her clothes. Shoes were passed over in favour of her bare toes, and a simple silver cross on a silver chain floated over to her. Lifting her hair off her neck, she helped the butterflies fasten the necklace then quickly fluffed her hair. Butterflies flew into her face, making her eyes close as they brushed their wings across her eyelids, her cheeks and softly across her lips. As they withdrew, Annael looked in the nearby mirror to see that they had used the powder on their wings to add color to her face. A slight pink highlighted her cheeckbones, a darker red across her lips and a mixture of silver, black and grey on her eyes. The color specialists, fluttered around her, making final touchups before settling delicately in her curls. Shaking the skirt of the dress down to make sure her bare toes were hidden, Annael took a deep breath and rushed out of the room and through the keep. Standing off stage, Annael waited as CheerMynx finished her introductions, pom poms waving around wildly. As the biders clapped their approval, Annael smiled as she walked on stage and winked as CheerMynx went racing past her. Walking to the edge of the stage, Annael smiled as her butterflies ruffled in her curls, making them seem alive. "Teeth, evil little teeth!" Annael heard Wyvie whisper to the males around him. Annael shook her head a little and two butterflies flew out of her curls and drifted lazily through the air towards the Almost Dragon. Giving a little shreak, Wyvern tried to hide behind Gyrfalcon. Sighing, the ranger rolled his eyes and took up a protective stance infront of Wyvie as the butterflies landed softly on Gyr's shoulders, fluttering their wings at the overgrown lizard. Shaking, Wyvie turned his eyes up to Annael in suplication. Laughing at his antics, Annael turned her attention to the rest of the audience. "Hello everyone. For those of you that don't know me, I'm Annael. For those that do, I hope all is well with you and yours." As she spoke, variously butterflies floated off her person and into the crowd, brushing across noses and cheeks of the men, making some blush, some smile and some frown in irritation. As she continued speaking, she heard some of the men closest to the stage laughing lightly. Smiling and looking around to see what was causing the amusement, she felt the skirt of her dress rustle. Looking down, she realised that some of her friends had decided that they would show that she was barefoot. Frowning, Annael shook her skirt, making it flutter wildly, butterflies flying off the hem and into the air. Waving her hands at the little insects, Annael tried to shoo them off. They fluttered around her head and started to lift her curls up and around. The men started laughing more. Putting her hands on her hips, Annael started to tap her foot in frustration. Peredhil and Gyrfalcon looked at eachother and tried to hide a smile. The Pen's angel was starting to get annoyed. "Yes, well, before my friends decide to make even more of a spectical of me, I will bid you all farewell. Happy bidding gentlemen." Smiling at the crowd, Annael performed a deep curtsy, rose and began walking off stage. Her curls waving goodbye to the men thanks to the butterflies, and the hem at the back of her red gown lifting slightly to show her bare feet barely touching the ground as she made her exit.
  16. Awww, dangit!!! Hmm....I think that swinging by Idaho would be a little out of the way!!! Alright, I'll make a seperate trip out to visit you
  17. Yes yes, that's right, I am taking to the roads again for another road trip and venturing into the great unknow....the USA. Hehe, just kidding, been there before. Anywho....I'm planning on attending a concert late summerish time (not sure on the actual date yet) but I will be driving through NY, PA, MD, VA and ending up in North Carolina. Any Pennites along that route? lol. We can maybe try to get together to discuss poetry over tea and crumpets??
  18. Congrats Yui, muchly deserved
  19. Surrounded by total darkness, Annael cleared her throat. "Hello?" Her voice ecoed back at her. Reaching up into her hair, she gently took a little butterfly into her hand. Cuping her other hand around it to create a little cave around the insect, she gently blew into her hands. Feeling the butterfly give a little start, it began to flutter it's wings. Opening her hands, the butterfly lifted up in the air, its wings beginning to glow. Brighter and brighter the light jumped off its rapidly flutter wings until it shone light to the surrounding area. Looking around herself, she realised this wasn't a normal tree. Carved into the bark were various symbols, ones that Annael had never seen before in her rather extensive life time. Squinting to see them better, they looked to be some sort of writing, but she couldn't tell for sure. Resembling ancient Norse runes, that was where the resemblance stopped. "Hmm. Now, if only I could tell what those meant," Annael said to her light bearing butterfly. "Ask, and ye shall receive," a voice spoke from out of the darkness, startling the angel. Before her eyes, the symbols started to shift and change, moving around eachother until they were reassembled into english. "Speak the name Of the dame Who's fair face Destroyed our race." "Well now, Voice in the Darkness, um, which race are you referring to?" Silence. Giving a little hmph, Annael mumbled to herself about bodiless voices making false promises. "Helen of Troy." Nothing. "Oh yeah, that was the face that launced a thousand ships. How the heck am I going to figure this out?" Sighing, Annael slumped against the tree and decided it was time to reach deep into her head to sort through thousands of years worth of memories to see what she could figure out.
  20. Annael signing in for duty...erm...I mean a date! lol
  21. Da Vinci Code: I was one of the people that saw the movie then read the book. The movie I thought was very well done. Explaining things that needed explaining, and not saying too much when things didn't need to be said. After reading the book, I found that the changes that were made for the movie were effective, and didn't detract from the story at all. I found that the book had details that didn't pertain to the story, it was more for historical significance. I actually found the ending of the movie better then the book. Makes more sense in protecting the sole heir if there is only one, ne? Maybe that's just the logical part of me. X Men III: I was totally hyped to see this movie, and actually disappointed. It was entertaining enough, but I guess I expected more since it is supposed to be the final movie. You can definetly tell that there is a different director. Overall, I'm actually telling friends that if they are set on seeing the movie in a theater, to go to a discount theater. Not worth the 12 and change that is charged in most of the theaters around.
