WrenWind
Frozen emotional frost covers my heart i still love but there is no passion i'm not even sure what that is somewhere along the way i have lost something vital, making all that i feel only echos of what they should be controlled emotion everything wrapped in layers of rational thought .... remembering a passage read as a child about why people cry for pity for happiness for physical pain but mostly because we feel sorry for ourselves i doubt the author realized the impact his article would have on an 11 year old girl it made me analyze every tear now they are frozen along with the passion he forgot to include Wren

SoaringIcarus
The last line leaves me caught at a fork in the road. The passion he the author, or a former "loved" one forgot to include? Or the passion you never permitted yourself? Write on. -Icarus

Zariah
I like the free form. I like the fact that you used i as lower case. It's a very stream on consciousness... are you 11? Geez, I would never think....this is really good.

HappyBuddha
Last line should be (in my humble and prob'ly mistaken opinion): now they are frozen, like the passion he forgot to include

Regel
Rational thought the cure for passion? Somethings are felt so strongly that passion can not be helped. It begins with a belief so strong that it will not be quelled. It doesn't understand limits and refuses to be wrestled to the ground by logic. It's a chemical reaction that cannot be reversed. Once certain elements are introduced to one another the energy and heat begins to be release. Nothing can stop it. Fear freezes people. If you allow those elements to combined will they explode inside you? Will your rational thought survive? Emotions are very powerful. Flamed by passions could anything stand in their way. Perhaps what you are feeling is fear. I hope you allow yourself the opportunity to find out. Thought provoking poem.
