And without further ado - the madlibs!

The story excerpt was taken from near the end of the Assembly Room (there's good stuff there, you should take a look sometime!). Good Grief, by Ozymandias, had the descriptiveness I was looking for in this excerpt:

His small gnome's heart started pumping like a giant's bellows. His palms moistened, and throat went dry. It was the single most ecstatic moment of his young life. The cares and woes of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the joy he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was alive!; and could feel the cool breeze play over his bare arms, hear a songbird titter at him gaping like a fool, the sound of the wheat rustling in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his heart to bear, happiness filled it so close to bursting as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

I eliminated number 11 from the word list as it would not have worked well. However, adding in everyone's choices we now have the following stories... and my thanks to you all for playing! =)

Gwaihir:

His squirming gnome's heart started howling like a giant's guinea pig. His nose flagellated, and hair went dry. It was the single most woebegone moment of his squamous life. The terror and enlightenment of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the amazement he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was shiny!; and could feel the dejected breeze play over his bare foot sole, hear a songbird titter at him zooming like a fool, the sound of the serendipity ululating in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his armpit to bear, antsiness filled it so close to honking as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Whiskey in Babylon:

His frightening gnome's heart started dancing like a giant's Regina Spektor. His pinky flipped, and hips went dry. It was the single most enraged moment of his cute life. The pen and Scotland of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the excitement he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was silly!; and could feel the spontaneous breeze play over his bare eye ball, hear a songbird titter at him prancing like a fool, the sound of the glasses wiggling in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his elbow to bear, discontent filled it so close to kick boxing as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Tanuchan:

His sweet gnome's heart started skydiving like a giant's dragon. His throat cast, and finger went dry. It was the single most frustrating moment of his bright life. The speakers and dandelions of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the anticipation he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was snowy!; and could feel the edgy breeze play over his bare ear, hear a songbird titter at him hopping like a fool, the sound of the window translating in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his thigh to bear, joy filled it so close to hugging as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Quincunx:

His syrupy gnome's heart started squelching like a giant's paint fumes. His nose paddled, and knee bone went dry. It was the single most (realization) moment of his desperate life. The vacuum and gestures of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the exhileration he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was wrong!; and could feel the veined breeze play over his bare fingertips, hear a songbird titter at him wrinkling like a fool, the sound of the soap scrubbing in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his tooth to bear, pouting filled it so close to dying as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Zool:

His hot gnome's heart started combusting like a giant's fire. His funny bone joked, and head bone went dry. It was the single most satisfying moment of his rough life. The cross-grain and countersink of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the vanity he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was laughable!; and could feel the dextrous breeze play over his bare soul, hear a songbird titter at him draining like a fool, the sound of the web pouring in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his palm to bear, vindication filled it so close to spurting as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Wyvern

His uninhibited gnome's heart started idolizing like a giant's demanding concubine. His earlobe evangelized, and waistline went dry. It was the single most lustfull moment of his lumpenproletarian life. The barely legal ear massage and Scottish guttersnipe of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the escalating excitement he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was sexified!; and could feel the emotionally fragile breeze play over his bare sternum, hear a songbird titter at him fetishize like a fool, the sound of the burritodood's pet panda eviscerating in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his long bushy tail to bear, physical satisfaction filled it so close to playing dumb as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

GeldrinHor:

His gross gnome's heart started driving like a giant's councillor. His finger staked, and throat went dry. It was the single most frightening moment of his charming life. The cow and fabric of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the delight he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was redpectful!; and could feel the quiescent breeze play over his bare breastbone, hear a songbird titter at him flying like a fool, the sound of the turtle drowning in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his earlobe to bear, anger filled it so close to travelling as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Patrick:

His blue gnome's heart started eating like a giant's rock. His middle finger wrote, and tummy went dry. It was the single most angry moment of his shiny life. The leaf and letter of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the relief he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was rushed!; and could feel the new breeze play over his bare left ear, hear a songbird titter at him polishing like a fool, the sound of the gate breaking in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his foot to bear, happiness filled it so close to moving as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Appy:

His fluffy gnome's heart started mocking like a giant's chair. His eyes hung, and little toe went dry. It was the single most rapturous moment of his wobbly life. The trees and wine bottles of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the loylessness he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was ancient!; and could feel the dusty breeze play over his bare eyelash, hear a songbird titter at him rampaging like a fool, the sound of the guacamole eating in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his eardrum to bear, nervousness filled it so close to making as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Mylo:

His shiny gnome's heart started square dancing like a giant's fish. His left ear attacked, and knee cap went dry. It was the single most flabbergasted moment of his fluffy life. The brush and ear plugs of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the contentment he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was smelly!; and could feel the heavy breeze play over his bare right eye, hear a songbird titter at him distorting like a fool, the sound of the mint flavored floss amputating in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his toe nail to bear, giddiness filled it so close to launching as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Alaeha:

His shifty gnome's heart started ridiculing like a giant's noun. His pineal gland partook, and sternum went dry. It was the single most hilarious moment of his famished life. The hot dog buns and teas of the world fell away into nothing, and he was left knowing only all the apprehension he'd ever called his own. And then some. He was chalky!; and could feel the slender breeze play over his bare trachea, hear a songbird titter at him fabricating like a fool, the sound of the gerund speculating in the wind; it was suddenly all almost too much for his duodenum to bear, quizzicalness filled it so close to batmobiling as he stood here, in the prescence of this! This living legend!

Wyvern steps into the Cabaret Room's tiny Madlib Arena, pulling what appears to be a rickety cart with a number of colorful test tubes poking out of it. The overgrown lizard sets the detached handle bar of the cart down center-stage, then brushes the ash from his ugly crimson labcoat with a sneer. He waves a claw in the direction of the cart and hisses:

"Ladiesss and gentlemen of the Mighty Pen Cabaret... I presssent to you, a new challenge for madlib veterans of old and newcomersss alike! Within the cart that lies before you, no fewer than ten Mighty Pen madlib test formulas have been gathered, neon bright and ripe for the picking. The formulas are listed as follows:

Madlib Formula #563 Green - 'Radlib' [used by Mynx]

Madlib Formula #73 Yellow - 'Gliblib' [used by Inspector I. M Clueless]

Madlib Formula #421 Brown - 'Fadlib' [used by Gwaihir]

Madlib Formula #323 Silver - 'Egad!ib' [used by Canid]

Madlib Formula #952 Purple - 'Cadlib' [used by Geldrinhor]

Madlib Formula #1 Opaque - 'Adlib' [used by Patrick]

Madlib Formula #321 Red - 'Jihadlib' [used by Zadown]

Madlib Formula #792 Pink - 'Women's Lib' [used by the Big Pointy One]

For thisss particular madlib exercissse, I ask that each participant choose one of these Formulas, and that you base your clever choices of words around the theme of the Formula you choose. How you interpret the theme of your choice of madlib Formula is entirely up to you. Pleassse list the Formula you are using at the beginning of your post. Each of the Formulas may only be used once, and once all of the Formulas have been used, this exercise will be closed and the resultsss will be posted. I ask that you only post in this particular madlib if you wish to try your hand at testing a Formula... more normal madlib exercises will be available later."

Without further ado, Wyvern pulls out a large test diagram sheet and tacks it to the wall, listing the words to be tampered with:

1) [A Vehicle]

2) [Verb, Past Tense]

3) [Plural Noun]

4) [Verb, Past Tense]

With that, Wyvern slides on his Almost Dragonic Brand Anti-Verbal Radiation Goggles™ and waits...

Gwai, I think Wyv meant that each formula is the theme for the whole set of words... for example, if you choose Madlib Formula #321 Red - 'Jihadlib' , all your words must be somehow connected to Jihad - the interpretation of Jihad being your own.

And supposing that I did get what he meant right... my choice will be

Madlib Formula #666 Black - 'Deadlib'

1) [A Vehicle] - hearse

2) [Verb, Past Tense] - zombified

3) [Plural Noun] - tombs

4) [Verb, Past Tense] - haunted

5) [Adjective Ending in "-like"] - corpselike

6) [A Number] - 666

7) [Plural Noun] - mausoleums

8) [Feature of Said Plural Noun (7)] - gargoyles

9) [Article of Clothing] - shroud

10) [Adverb] - ghastly

11) [Adjective] - nethermost

12) [A Hair Accessory] - bony tiara

13) [Adjective] - catatonic

14) [Part of Body] - amputated hand

15) [An Artifact] - orb

16) [Noun] - shadow

17) [Plural Noun] - sarcophagi

18) [superlative Adjective (i.e longest, lowest, etc.)] - scariest

19) [Formal Title for a Person] - Master of Nine Hells

Wyvern sips on a tall glass of something ressembling Madlib Formula #952 Purple as he paces around the Cabaret Room with a measuring stick, examining the portraits and doorways of the chamber to make sure they've been maximized for an efficient experimental environment. The overgrown lizard turns towards those who have gathered in the Cabaret Room and removes his Almost Dragonic Brand Anti-Verbal Radiation Goggles™ for a moment.

"Jussst to clear up any confusion, Tanuchan was spot-on in her explanation of how this thing worksss. Great resssponses so far." Wyvern scratches his chin and glances over a scientific set-up sheet, then points a claw towards Gwaihir. "Though I'm afraid I'll still need a feature of your slap bracelets, Mr. gardener."

With that, Wyvern settles his goggles back onto his snout and begins documenting the odd mutations of the Formulas used thus far, secretly wondering what the effects of combining several Formulas might yield...

Wyvern takes a long sip of his purple beverage and sets it down on an unstable measuring scale. He balances out the tilting scale with an extra-large bag of curly onion cheese doodles on the other end, then lifts his goggles and turns to Gwaihir.

"Certainly, Mr. gardener." Wyvern nods and digs through a sack of "scientific" documents, pulling out what appears to be a wiggly doodle of a circle of sorts. "A feature of a slap bracelet could refer to any part or element of a ssslap bracelet. For example, slap bracelets are made of stringy metal bands (not to be confused with death metal bands), so that would be one feature of the bracelets. Tightness could also be a feature, as they fit tightly around wrists, and the pre-teen salesss market is of course another feature. The lissst goes on... check out what other folks marked as features of their ressspective plural nouns for more examples."

With that, Wyvern grins and lowers his goggles once again, snatching up the bag of curly onion cheese doodles and causing the drink at the other end of the scale to topple over in the process. The reptilian Elder lets his tongue flick out once or twice as he watches some of the purple liquid mingle with a Formula or two, but decides to keep it on the hush in the hopes of drumming up stronger experimental results...

Inspector I. M Clueless adjusted his dark green travel coat in the most detective-ly manner possible, aware that the color wasn't Private Eye compatible but finding the thick fabric better than no detective suite at all. After traveling for days in search of clues pertaining to the bio-literary weapons that he'd heard of on the Mighty News, Clueless had finally arrived here, at the scene of the crime. It was a disappointing sight: a couple of gathered pennites, a broken cart, and what appeared to be a bright yellow test tube. Clueless stared at the glowing tube, noting its odd ressemblence to "bling" as he slowly approached it.

"G lib lib?" I. M Clueless eyed the label through a lensless magnifying glass. "Must be one of those new terms that the youth corrupted by that 'hip hop' culture uses. Ruffian music that promotes gangsters who should be behind bars, locked away by hard-working Private Eyes like myself..."

Inspector I. M Clueless grumbled a few words of frustration over his inability to decypher the slang of "G lib lib," then grabbed a nearby sheet of paper to jot down his thoughts on the subject:

1) [A Vehicle] - diamond-encrusted Mercedes found on the "music television"

2) [Verb, Past Tense] - mack daddy-Oed

3) [Plural Noun] - unjustly accused police officers

4) [Verb, Past Tense] - broke danced

14) [Part of Body] - seventh bullet wound

15) [An Artifact] - platinum record plaque

17) [Plural Noun] - vigilante graffiti "taggers"

18) [superlative Adjective (i.e longest, lowest, etc.)] - most ethical

19) [Formal Title for a Person] - Chief

20) [Adjective Ending in “-like”] - RIAA-like

With that, Inspector I. M Clueless tucked his quill back into one of his coat pockets and turned to sleuth out the rest of the Cabaret area...

Wyvern observes Stick drinking from experimental test tube #792 with a smirk, knowing that any macho pennite would limit themselves to ordering #321 straight no chaser. He strikes a claws up in Stick's direction for picking the under-beverage, then adjusts his crimson labcoat and slinks his way back to the center of the room. He sits on a remaining piece of wooden tube cart and ring an unscientific-looking cowbell to get people's attention.

"Ladiessss and gentlemen, thank you for your scientific data." Wyvern shuffles through tattered sheets of paper until he comes upon a stick figure doodle of the pennites at work, which he holds up proudly for all to see. "See? I drew it aaaallllllllll by myself! ... *ahem.* Moving on to the tessst results, the following passage from Kikuyu Black Paws's 'Flying Aces' was used as the standard protocol:

The huge steel warplane thrummed as it floated slowly over the dulled cities that slept below. The moon glowed brightly in the dark night and stars twinkled coldly around its clock-like face. Two tall young men and a young woman stood at an open doorway, surveying the cities below. Large dark wings were folded against their backs, the silky feathers dancing in the breeze.

The young woman adjusted her black bandanna and stared grimly down at the cities. Her hair was black and tipped with scarlet, poking out in long strands from beneath her bandanna. She wore a long-sleeved netted shirt with a loose vest around her chest. Her cargo pants were low on her hips and a silver flute was shoved into one of her belt loops. She played with a small silver loop pierced through one of her ears and turned her dark eyes to the tallest young man. “How much longer, Lieutenant?” she asked in a bell-like voice.

This passage then underwent several Almost Dragonic Brand Orc Scythe Surgical Procedures™, until the following experimental base was created:
