  1. Dontcha just love the way this damn bird can weave his words? Ok...Crypt gave me this line: Upon the crest of supple wave. I came up with two... #1 - Upon the crest of supple wave The birds perform their dance While on the beach, inside a cave I contemplate the chance Of proving all I wish to be Of doing all I can To make others look and notice me And respect me for what I am Yet my wishes are as fleeting As a bird upon the sky For despite all my loves see And all they claim Sometimes I wonder if it would be better To simply live a life of shame. #2 - Upon the crest of supple wave The birds perform their dance Twisting about one another Beautiful to all who glance Standing at the water’s edge I watch the beasts of air As I feel my feet sink in the sand I wish to join them there Grounded by my fears I am forced to cope Yet I watch the birds dance in the sky To join them is what I hope Nowhere near as good as the word smith, but hey, I'm a storyteller, not a romantic...
  2. Mynx walks up to Blondemoon and bows deeply, her striped tail twitching slowly. Straightening up, she smiles, displaying teeth that look as sharp and dangerous as the scythe she wealds at her side, yet her demeanor is purely that of welcoming. Standing behind her is a large gryphon, smiling also. Greetings! I'm Mynx, and this is Gryphon. Just wanted to say welcome back and I hope we get the chance to write together sometime. Mynx hugs Blondemoon, before slinging her scythe over her shoulder and stalking out of the room, Gryphon bounding behind her after bowing his head in greeting
  3. Have you ever stopped someone from killing themselves And then become good friends with them But have never actually met them face to face in your life?
  4. Mynx slinks in, stealing a handful of popcorn and conjuring a large coke, before curling up in a typically feline pose, ears pricked attentively, waiting to hear more.
  5. Have you ever been up to you whiskers (gills, nose, beak, etc) in so much work that you have prayed for the holiday you knew to be coming... But then when it finally arrived, wish it hadn't because it is stopping you from completing your work?
  6. Mynx stumbles into the Cabaret Room, dragging her scythe listlessly as she moves painfully over to Gryphon, trying to aim her body at the chair next to him but missing and landing instead on the floor. She sits there, staring into space before blinking a few times. "Two weeks off...I have a two week holiday and all the rest I was hoping to get has just been wasted..." With a weakly dismayed yowl of anger, Mynx curls up into a tight feline ball, pulling her robe around her until all that is seen is a black, non descript shape on the floor.
  7. I think the Ren & Stimpy one went like this... "Happy happy joy joy Happy happy joy joy Happy happy joy joy Happy happy joy joy Happy happy joy joy Happy happy joy joy Happy happy joy joy..." and so on...
  8. Wow... I loved that one Crypt. Beautifully written... Wish I was a poet....oh well...
  9. And to think that during that moment in the morning I was alseep... *contemplates* Meh...I'll take sleep anytime Moon's prettier at night Very nice poem tho Gryph, I likes
  10. A dog and his master go on a holiday to Africa. One day, while his master is snoozing in his tent, the dog goes for a wander across the plains. Eventually be becomes lost. Crap, the dog thinks, now what do I do? He then notices behind him that there is a lion creeping towards him. Looking around in a panic, the dog spots a decaying carcass a few feet away from him. Hunching over the carcass, the dog begins to munch on the bones and meat, pretending he hasn't seen the approaching cat. When he judges that the lion is close enough to hear him, the dog says allowed: "Boy, what a tasty lion! I wonder if there's any more around..." Shocked by what he had just heard, and not having ever seen a dog before, the lion high tailed it out of the area, thanking his lucky stars that he hadn't disturbed the evil creature that had been eating one of his friends. A monkey watches all this from a nearby tree and thinks to himself, this could be useful to me. Hopping down from the tree, the monkey sets off after the lion. Catching up with the big cat, the monkey exchanges his knowledge for the guarantee that he won't be eaten. Extremely annoyed and embarrassed that he had been tricked, the lion was determined to go and extract revenge. Back where the dog was still sitting, idly wondering what to do, the dog notices the lion returning. When he sees the monkey sitting on the lion's back, the dog realises his trick must have been found out. He then gets an idea... Sitting with his back to the approaching beasts, again pretending he hasn't seen them, the dog waits until they are close enough to hear before letting out a huge sigh. "I wish that monkey would hurry up! I sent him to go find me another lion an hour ago!"
  11. *blinks in confusion* Why do I feel I've missed something big?
  12. *hugs Gryphon* You leave me, I'm axing myself to come after you...
  13. Unfortunately, yes.And that, in turn, nearly killed me
  14. Have you ever wanted nothing more than to be left alone... And Fate picks that exact moment to make you what appears to be the most popular/interesting being in the immediate vicinity? ...Of course...maybe it's just because tears attract...
  15. Mynx walks in and, without saying a word, embraces Yatsuna tightly, before turning and disappearing once more into the shadows
  16. Nicely written. good even rhythm and I felt the emotions in the piece. Makes me think of a song I've recently come across... "...and I know you'll catch me when I'm falling" ~Catch Me - MIC~ ...Tralala...
  17. Beautifully written, Crypt. Quite literally brought tears to my eyes.
  18. Landing with a painful thud on a pepply beach situated in a strange land on the bottom of the world that seemed to have an abundance of animals with heads sticking out of their bellies, Melvin decided it might be safe to just lie there for a while. He then became aware of a shadow hovering above him. Then more shadows joined the first, until he was surrounded by them. About thirty white and grey birds surrounded Melvin, with more joining the ranks with each passing second. Finally, the owner of the first shadow tilted its head, staring at Melvin with a glazed expression before uttering a single word: "Mine?"
  19. *smiles sadly* Thanks Crypt. You too Appy. I'll be okay...just need time to go and hide and drink lots of caffeine...unfortunately I have no time at the moment... ooo yay...bottled up emotions... OOC: sorry! I know this disrupts the flow of the thread. I'll go disappear into another corner now...
  20. Have you ever stayed up all night crying... And felt even worse because there was no one around to comfort you? *wipes eyes and disappears into the shadows*
  21. As much as I wish I knew what some people thought of me, I believe that in this case, ignorance is bliss. If you knew what everyone thought of you, it could eventually be destructive to your own peace of mind, as you desperately try and change yourself to fit in with the people you want to be with. Even the people who don't care what people think of them would be affected by knowing everyone's opinion of them.
  22. Wow... Very emotive. I like very much. And I can sympathise with the emotions... Nicely done.
  23. Admittedly, I did like the intro, but I still maintain the pointlessness of the film. Saw The BUtterfly Effect last night. Interesting, and enough creepy moments to keep even me entertained, which is no small feat. *grins* "I'd buy that for a dollar!"
  24. Very nicely written. It captures the essance of realisation that the week has ended very well. The only difference between the realisation in the poem and my own is that at the moment I am praising the end of each week, not just wondering where it has gone
  25. Went and saw Hellboy the other day... I was looking forward to it because a reviewer I trust said it was very good... I want my money back. HB is slow, painful, full of waaaaaaaay too many cheesy lines...and nowhere near enough character development. Two of the people who I thought were main characters were hardly in the film and never seen together even though the poster has them standing in a group! Stupid stupid stupid movie...
