  1. Brother Mathieu worked up late, under the supervision of the Abbot, since now he inherited the supervision of the whole gardens and the yeards. When Brother Alcott comes over him and asks about Brother Gulzar, the herborist answers sadly. - He heard rumors about several people and shared them often with me and the late Brother Thibeault. I couldn't say anything because I've feared that I might raised suspicion about Brother Gulzar, but my silence, ultimatly betrayed him. However, I'm somehow relieved that he's heading for a better place. I guess the only way to repent for that sin, is to pray that Brother Gulzar will have a safe journey and that he'll continue to serve God as faithfully as he served Him here. Brother Mathieu couldn't restrain from yawning as he was so exhausted. The Abbot reminds the brothers that they should head back to their quarters, which they both diligently do so.
  2. *Gives a big hugs to Peredhil* C'était très bien, mon cher! Merci beaucoup.
  3. Ahead of him perfectly round plateau from which water is cascading in the emptyness was waiting for him. On top of the plateau, a round marble stand on which a dressed table and two seatings stand ready for the event. Standing next to the table, Celes was waiting for Nyyark. - I hope Rosette and her friends werent as bothersome as they are used to be. Rosette and her comrads are quick to protest. - We behave! - Of course we did behave! Celes waves her right had. - You've done your end of your bargain. Dismiss. Nyyarks looks at the roses with an amused gaze but, then focuses his attention back to the mage. - I take it that you're my secret Valentine. - You assumed correctly. Well, diner's ready. Celes sits down on her seat and Nyyark joins her. (OOC: Happy Valentine's Day, Nyyark!)
  4. Brother Mathieu thinks about the latest events and notices how absent-minded Brother Gulzar was. Brother Caire was walking in the garden. Brother Mathieu looks up. - Did you lost something, Brother Caire? The scholar walks over the gardening monks, obviously upset. - It seems that I've lost the trust of my fellow brothers. - Well, replies Mathieu, if you can justify reasonably your behavior, perhaps we'll reconsider our suspicions. Both gardeners have their attention focused on Brother Caire. (OOC: No vote yet. I know I shouldn't abuse of abstention but I'd like to have a good motive before voting.)
  5. Brother Mathieu and Gulzar are both strained by the last event. Mathieu prepares for both men a conconction that will help them to relieve some of their headaches. While drinking it Mathieu shares his worries. - These shadows that you mentionned... I'm glad that I'm not the only one who saw something strange lately. At least, we know that we're both still have some sanity left. Brother Thibeault's death is painful, he was such a remarquable fellow, even if we do have our share of arguments in the past. Gulzar ponders for a moment. - I've heard that you did have a dispute with brother Thibeault. Care to detail that for me. - It was one of these meaningless argues that you're used to laughed at. It was about absynthe and you know our views about this beverage. Gulzar nods. - Yes. It relieves me to know that, at least, it had nothing to do with these dreadful times. Thank you for this conconction, it made my headaches gone. - You're welcome, Brother Gulzar. I'll check over the servants about the breakfast and I shall be joining everyone. - Don't you mind, Brother Mathieu, if I stay with you. - I don't. Let's go see how the servants are doing then. Bother monks head for the kitchen, knowing that it's probably for the best that they should stay at least in pair.
  6. Excellent! Le phrasé me fait penser à du Jean Leloup, ce qui ajoute du punch à ton poème. Love it!
  7. Bonne Fête Cyril! You're always welcome when it comes to help.
  8. RUNE!!! Gives a big hug I'm so glad to see you back. :woot:
  9. As the monks learns about Felipe's innocence, Mathieu prays for the brother's health in his penance. He hopes that there, he'll be safe from the evil that plagues the abbey. Evil... who would have thought that such word could be even thought in a place that should be God's shelter. Will it strike again tonight? If so, on whom? Brother Mathieu shivers of terror just at the thought as he perfectly knows that probably no one is safe. But God is still there to guide him and the monks during these harsh time, like He always did. May Him lay them His strength.
  10. I'm sorry if I couldn't posts my vote. I can practically come here on evening only. Anyhow, I'll be as active as possible.
  11. Errr... Katz DID survived the Garnavon Hall's game. She made a magistral performance in that game.
  12. Brother Mathieu was very upset by the news of the recent deaths. The air in the Abbey is so thick that the herbalist feels nauseous. Even tending for his beloved herbs wasn't relaxing enough. The events that are unfolding in the Abbey are constantly haunting his mind. Brother Gulzar left Brother Rhys for a moment and checks on Brother Mathieu. - Brother Gulzar, I'm so speechless when it comes to express how I feel... - I know, Brother Mathieu. However, did you noticed anything strange about Brother Igotafilm, lately? The question startled Brother Mathieu. After a moment of thinking the herborist answers. - Well, I didn't noticed anything much about him. Why? - There's rumors that he might have asked for keys. - Keys? Really? Hum... Pretty strange. Perhaps we should confront him about this. Gulzar nods. - Perhaps... While Gulzar returns back to Brother Rhys, Brother Mathieu is now pondering about these rumors.
  13. Happy Birthday to the new Pen. It was a great move to grab it out of ezboard (I absolutly hated how they shoved ads and pop-ups on the free boards). It's the best move ever.
  14. (OOC: Sorry all, RL tooked me away from RP). Brother Mathieu is shocked when he heard upon the late news. He couldn't believe of what he heard. The Library... what's in there about it? What the Inquisition will make of these bizarre events? Brother Gulzar pasts by Mathieu, disrupting his thoughts. - Oh, Brother Gulzar. I was so lost in my thoughts. - You're not the only one, Brother Mathieu. It seems that there's more behind these events than whoever is responsible of them wants us to see. - I have a hard time to make do with this. I'm worried that these events and the Inquisition might disrupt the peace in the Abbey for good. Both monks sighs and returns to their respective quarters after sharing their usual wishes. - May God guides us all through this...
  15. Brother Mathieu went back from the kitchen and was drawn by the arguing between his fellow brothers. He sighs and looks for Brother Thibeault for a fill in. After that he reflects for a moment. - I hate doing this, but perhaps this my dear friend, brother Gulzar is perhaps right. I'll trust his judgement. (OOC: A vote against Benedict-Cryptomancer)
  16. Brother Mathieu is deeply saddened by the lost of his fellow brother. However, he wonders why this fine monk met such an horrid death. With the help of the cook, Mathieu gathers the most herbs he could salvage from the snow and the cold. The chef monk looks at Mathieu and asks the brother about the death. - It is... horrible... I apologies, no words cannot express my feelings accuratly. Brother Mathieu fears that there's foul play at the Abbey. Who wanted Brother Adelmo dead? That's what all the monks have to find out. (OOC: No accusation yet.)
  17. Happy belated birthday, Knight. I'm sure that we'll have fun together in the Werewolves' RPs. *Glomps Sorcière* Happy Birthday! I appreciated your fun-loving attitude. *Waves to Signe* Happy Birthday! I appreciate your presence. I hope you'll show up from time to time this year.
  18. Brother Mathieu enters the kitchen with a basket filled with garlic, herbs of all kind. The cook was pleased with the harvest. Brother Mathieu grabs some fresh basil and smells it. - What a delicate smell. We will have a good meal tonight. Did Francis brought you the poultry? The chef shows three feason that he started to plucked and shows the remaining twenty. - Well, Brother Mathieu, he did but we have to hurry if we want dinner on time. The herbalist agreed and started to pluck the birds along, wondering where these poultry came from. - Oh, a royal caravan preceeded the new monks and we have been given these with His Majesty's regard. Brother Mathieu looks at the cook with an amused gaze. - Well, lets not dissapoint His Majesty and lets have a feast.
  19. Brother Mathieu sighs as he saws his master gardener running after the trespassers while Thibault looks at the head gardener with amusement. - These newcomers will bring an interesting renewal in this Abbey. While not expecting a reply from Brother Thibeault, the herbalist checks the garlics and the herbs, gathering those who are fresh enough for picking. - Tonight's feast will be very well perfumed.
  20. Sweetcherry and I talked to each other and it's fine. I'll be glad to be responsible of the delicate spices and herbs. I'll be Brother Mathieu of Carcasonne. Born from a peasant familly in gorgeous Carcasonne, in southern France, Mathieu quickly learns the ways of gardening. When he became a teenager, he strongly expressed his loathe regarding violence, making his desires to not enter in the royal army strong. As a fervant catholic, he found his answer within the God he always prayed. He asked the local priest about becoming a monk and the benevolent man send the young boy over the Benedictine monastery. After several years of education and loyal services, he had been received as Brother. Although now he's in his mid-thirties, he still have the passion for God, gardening and cooking.
  21. I've thought of both characters of both themes. TV: Tim Price, the voice-over man by excellence and the host of the late night Horror movie presentation where he takes the guise of a handsome Dracula. Rose: I'll be Brother Mathieu, a timid but respectful brother. He helps the monastery with the gardens and the cooking.
