Strangely enough, small amounts of hemlock were once a drug of choice in the idle rich - gave feelings of euphoria. (easily killed with overdose, but oh well.) Early herbalists ("witches") used hemlock (Belladonna) in unguents, tinctures, and other lotions for spells of 'flying'.
