  1. Merelas had appeared from nowhere. In his opinion, he was here only for a few minutes, and then he was back off to his room to sleep off the effects of last nights "outing". But seeing Zool at the bar, and Grimmael so obviously uneasy, he decided he simply had to stay and see what was next. He quickly walked over to the punch, poured himself a glass, and contemplated having Gyrfalcon or Salinye bespell it for him, before shaking it off. He could stay constant here, he thought.
  2. Well... I give you one (1) somewhat mighty kudo for that. But a real quiz... now that'd be something!
  3. I greatly enjoy both pieces. I'm glad that we can enjoy more than one art form in this place Well done, Xaious.
  4. Personally... And this might just be me... But if anyone put this into an actual quiz... I would have to award them endless and mightily fearful kudos.

My favorite lines were the first two. An excellent ending, filling my mind with imagery of an old house dead to the world except this one person who is searching for this thing or person that they have lost. You continue the imagery and excellent vocab throughout the poem, for which I am most glad. There are a few rhythm (spelling check!) issues that I had some trouble with, but I don't think they're so bad that they need to be altered. All in all, I liked it a lot!
  6. Well... I don't know if this is open to everyone, but I suppose I'll throw my hand in. Is this ok?
  7. Don't hate the players, hate the game, Gnarly... Good game, all.
  8. Walter slowly feels something that he has never felt before. It slowly creeps up his spine and into his mind. His glasses tremble as he begins to shake. His fists clench uncontrollably at his sides... Walter Mortonson is now angry. Uncontrollably, he launches himself at Richard, screaming something unintelligable about leaving Arielle alone, and that he was tired of Rich's acting nice when he'd really been a bully all along. He swings madly and loses his glasses somewhere in the process, and rolls around on the floor for a while, occasionally making contact with Richard with either his hands or his feet. Walter's eyes are closed now, since he can't see anyways, and he's swinging his fists and kicking his feet like mad. Eventually, Richard rolls out of the line of fire, but not without taking something of a beating first. This leaves Walter alone, rolling on the floor with angry tears on his cheeks and still yelling about Arielle and Richard... a scene that would be described by some as comic and by others as just plain sad.
  9. Walter holds Arielle softly, patting her back awkwardly. As she cries into his shoulder, he closes his eyes for a moment. He shouldn't imagine it as more than what it is. He was a friend, comforting a friend. That was all. But he did. Slowly, he allowed time to freeze in his mind while he held her there. He felt her take his hand quickly, and he whispered to her. "Shh... it's ok... I know it's terrible, but you have to calm down," he said. When she had become somewhat stable, he stepped forward, and pushed his glasses up onto the bridge of his nose as far as they would go. He took a deep, ragged breath, and spoke. For one of the first times in his life, he spoke clearly, and with confidence. "I believe Arielle. Richard is the bully... and I vote that we send someone to the principal immediately to inform her of this." OOC: Vote for Richard/Gnarlitch
  10. Walter hesitated, looking at Arielle. She is so beautiful, he thought, and for a moment he couldn't speak. Eventually he pulled the note out, read it, and scribbled a reply. It was so much easier for him to write his thoughts. He got so carried away as he did so that when he looked up to the clock, he realized that he had only one more minute to make it to the gym. "No!" he screeched, voice cracking embarassingly (but luckily there was no one around to hear), as he picked up his things and ran for the gym. Just as he reached the doors, the tardy bell rang. His eyes filled with tears... he'd never had an unexcused tardy in his life. It seemed all sorts of things were going wrong lately.
  11. Walter lurks back in the shadows, watching all of it as it happens, and wondering what will happen next. Instead of fretting about being the bullys' next victim, he goes over his english essay again.
  12. Walter considers... "I... I don't know," he whispers, more to himself than anyone. OOC: No change in vote.
  13. I'm with Ayshela. YAY FOR FRIDAY!
  14. Walter packed his things a few minutes before the bell was about to ring and pushed his glasses back up onto the bridge of his nose, and picked up his English essay. He started to follow Joe to their next class, English, and nearly bumped into him when he stopped suddenly, meeting Bina. Why had Chandler shown up late to class? Was it possible that he had been late because he had been beating up that kid? At the very least, Walter thought, it was possible. OOC: No two votes together yet... I'll solve that. Vote for HappyBuddha/Chandler
  15. Aww... It's friday which means tomorrow is sleep in day for me! Yay!
  16. Walter reads the note, scribbles something, and passes it back to Arielle. Silently, he looks at her, and waits for her response.
  17. Alric slowly nods in agreement with the others... "I believe I would prefer the forest as well. Verdant magics are easier to work when there are plants nearby to manipulate," he says.
  18. Walter calmed down slowly, listening to Arielles words, but not thinking about them. She had a beautiful voice... it was terrible to spoil it by digesting the thoughts she was trying to convey. This was because those thoughts would lead to more doubts of his own, or more of comparing himself to Richard. Instead, he listened to her, and was soothed. Finally, they concluded going over the homework, and noticed that Joe had still not yet returned. "Where do you think Joe went?" Walter asked Arielle, and she turned to him briefly and shook her head. Slowly, she swung back around and sneaked a glance at Richard. Walter sighed again, but instead took out his English asignment and looked at that. Writing was never his strong point. Language always had exceptions to rules... not like math or biology. Everything was concrete there, or in the end it was wrong. If an organism had a malfunction, it suffered and would probably become extinct in that climate. If a triginometric equation had a flaw, it was undefined. There was always an answer. English wasn't that way... and neither were girls. He sighed again, but forced himself to read the essay after a quick glance at Ari.
  19. Yay! He's promised to write more! Did you hear him? He promised HE PROMISED HE PROMISED!!!!
  20. Lol That'd be fine. Like I said, I'm not too concerned.
  21. Couldn't matter less to me... Walter doesn't exactly have what we in the business call "school spirit".
  22. "Yeah, sure Ari," Walter says, smiling a little. She was kind... she just didn't quite notice everything about him. And while he always listened to her, he sometimes wished that she wouldn't talk about Richard all the time. It wasn't that Wally disliked Rich... he had always been nice enough to Walter, even if they hadn't ever really spoken. He'd never embarassed him, though.. and that was more than Wally could say for the rest of the class. "Something wrong, Walter?" Walter's eyes go wide for a moment, and then he blinks and shakes his head quickly, shaking his glasses loose at the same time. Be calm, Wally... he thinks to himself, and pushes his glasses back up onto his nose as he takes a deep breath. "Sure, I'll check with you," he said, and he drew a little bit closer to her, mentally going over the answers in his mind. His grades and ability to grasp difficult concepts in class were his one pride and joy... if he were ever wrong about something he checked with Arielle, he would be crushed and dejected. Reassured that they were all correct, he started reading off. "The... the first one was meit-tosis," he stuttered, as was common for him. He hated it when he stuttered. "S-s-second one was meios-sis..." Damn words... they always get in the way.
  23. Xaious, you are great. I can't wait to see the final product, and I'm sure that this new progression will be awesome. I'd also like to see the sculpture if you get that scanned. And yes, we all have different talents. I've been struggling to get to somewhere I'm comfortable with on my knife-making, and I haven't heard of anyone else doing that Go Xaious!
  24. Laughs and takes his candle, and lights it with a wink and then blows it out quickly. Thanks so much, Xiaous!
  25. Erm... is it possible for us to get the instructions again?
