  1. I have to say, this is well written. The repetition works well, coupled with your rhyming scheme.
  2. This is good, I really get a feeling of something special, albeit slightly creepy.
  3. I knew that it was going to happen, but it seems more real now... best of luck old buddy.
  4. I always think about the things that could be so much better... I never know about the things that could be so much different... I try to love all the things that can stay the way they are... I think I know about the love that can be for you, from me.
  5. ok, the promotions gave me a kick in the pants. I was planing on doing this earlier anyways but... This is going to be a way for Pen members who aren't sure of their roleplaying abilities to be able to start with that. If anyone remember Nyyarks Crow's Investigations This will be like that, but different. There will be one character that I, and everybody else, can control, and people will join by bringing their own chars into it. Pretty simple, right? That's the whole point! I'll try to update the RP thread (in the consevatory) as regularly as possible, just want to get an idea of how many people are interested (you don't have to be new; everyone is welcome) Along with each story post, I'll make an Out of Character (or OOC for short) post explaining an RP concept, and try my best to implement it, but allow others to do it as well. At worst, it'll be a unique story with many different people!
  6. I like. Can't explain why, but I do.
  7. Rest. Simply sit still. Listen to the whispers. I can cry, if you will. Stop. Don't do anything. Ignore all of life. Be your own king. Pause. Take in the moment. Be where you're not. Know where you went.
  8. Wow. It was definetly worth the wait. Most definately. Better than I expected. Much. Oh, and garlic causes bad breath. Most unpleasant.
  9. Everyone has felt like this at least once. Thanks for putting into words what so many of us feel.
  10. My emotion found, From deep within. A sin. A joy. A love. A hate. Lost to wander, Living blind. A sin, A love. A joy, A hate. What now? What? Love sin. Hate joy.
  11. From freedom to a prison, Sitting, staring into space. Seven hours of each day- And nothing worth my time. People preaching, Teachers teaching, But I ignore them all. Math and Science, History and Band. Over and over, Again each day. But those seven hours Aren't nearly enough For they send me home- With more work to do I refuse, I quit. I deny their right to this. They can't. My mind is my power. But they drag me back, With the force of brutes Destroying knowledge.
  12. *smiles and watches from a dark corner* Welcome back, both you and Heinrich. You were missed.
  13. A peice of paper floats down from the ceiling, and gently lands in front of Yui. As the huntress bends down to pick it up, she looks at all the people, and wonders where the paper could have come from. Hard to the touch, with fancy red lettering, the card reads: Celebrations are for those who have something to celebrate. You have earned this. Pondering the meaning of this message, Yui looks up and sees Vlad standing before her. The vampire bows and presents her with an very long and thin dagger made of dull ivory. As her hand accepts the present with a healthy dose of confusion, Vlad (almost) silently makes an exit. Looking back at the weapon, Yui sees it become jet black in her hands.
  14. As Chame approached the castle he saw half a dozen guards by gate. One seemed interested in nothing but himself, whereas the others had a deck of cards out, and seemed to be playing for money. Chame ignored them and went up to the gate, but before he could place a hand on it, one of the guards grabbed him and pulled him back. "Jus' wha'dya think ya're doin' 'ere." The accent was obviously from the mountains to the north, and this guard was probably just like all of the others. Dim and slow-witted. Chame turned to look at the guard. He was a short man with broad shoulders and an even broader axe. The grin he wore was one of power and boredom, a vicious combination. "I must see the Duke. It's very important. There are monsters running loose everywhere" Chame blurted, as he struggled free. "Sure t'ere are. Always mo'sters runnin' loose." Having said these words the guard smashed the broad side of his axe into Chame's chest, greatly stunning him. The other guards made no action to help Chame or against him, but collectively sniggered. "Teh Duke'll be rit out, sir" And he laughed.
  15. Falling from above I see ungodly tears- Because she has nothing. Not a thing to live for, Nor a martyr's will- Just a being in existance Trapped without her hope. Never getting loved, Lonely through the years Living every sin. Naming everyone a whore- Searching for one kill. Souls pierced by a holy lance- It can't be possible to cope And now my standards droop low. For this - is - the god I know.
  16. This is awesome Very excellent poetry.
  17. I love this. *munches on Krispy Kreme donut*
  18. As Aardvark once said - never preface your work saying it's bad. This is a great poem, I like how the end ties back to the beggining. I also like how each stanza is one line shorter than the rest.
  19. Wow! This is really good. I fully believe that the seven hours you spent were well worth it. The rhythym flows very smothly. At first I thought it would be choppy because the lines are so varied in lenght, but I'm glad to be wrong. The end ties it all together very well, and I'd love to read more of your work.
  20. This poem struck me as different. It's good, don't get me wrong on that point, but there is something about it... It seemed kinda rushed, maybe if you split it into smaller chunks.
  21. To live up to expectations- It's what everybody wants. But what if you can't do it? SUCK IT UP - try again. or PACK IT UP and go to hell. Stop bothering me with your woes. What are you afraid of? Failure can't be real. You and I can't touch it- A concept, an idea of the weak. But who thought it up? Who in their right mind needs it? They do. We do too. Go ahead. Live up to an ideal. It's what we all expect.

Never heard the song. Sorry. But to tell the truth I reread the hitchhiker's trilogy, and I think that line was in there somewhere...
  23. hmm... it's been a while since I wrote anything, decided to poke my head in. -------------- How many roads must a man walk down to know where he is in this life? How many ways must he reject to find the one meant for him? Can he ever stop searching for the only true love? Can he honestly live with his heart for display? Will anyone ever decide what they need to be? Will this life and next be full of the joys? How will we know? How can we know?
  24. ... >.< No. That, was completely wrong, albeit humorous.
  25. Vlad had been sleeping when Madam Quixotic arrived. He had been sleeping when everyone was signing up. He had been sleeping when Wyvern created loads of noise. But he woke up and looked around eventually. Realizing what was happening, Vlad grabbed the nearest Page and told him to go to the Cabaret Room. Upon arrival the Page was to sign Vlad up, and deliver these gold coins to Wyvern. Having muttered these words, Vlad tossed the page a few coins and promptly went back to sleep.
