People will lie, That's how it goes There's nothing to do But see all the shows People will lie And people will cheat But always stay hopeful 'Cause birdies say TWEET! ...so sue me, it's the first thing I thought of that rhymed with cheat. 3. Wow, that's the flashiest sig I've seen in YEARS! But anyway, I've come to grips with the fact that either I'm happy or They're happy, and there's a lot more of Them, so I'm bound to be unhappy. I'm not dying until I can fulfill the statement "I'd rather have people ask why I didn't have a statue as opposed to them asking why I DID." I'm not up to people wondering why there's no statues around, so I'm not dying just yet. 4. Sir William stood upon a cliff And look'd at the rocks below "I'm rather sure I'm better off dead. And so I might as well throw My body to the rocks below To join with the earth again To all my friends I'm nothing more Than an annoying little pain." As he stood upon the edge Fate laughed at his plight "You're not finished, little one, you foolish little knight. You'll break your vows to all the ones That helped to bolster you. Betrayer they shall call you, knight, Your presence they will rue." Sir William flung himself aloft But not towards the shore Instead he fell right backwards Towards his house's door. He went home and he thought and thought Of how to break his curse He was a burden to his friends It could not get any worse. He took his shining sword of truth And wielded it up high "Watch out," he cried to all the world, "Sir William's not going to die! I'll right the wrongs and I'll feed the poor Until my curse is through." Little did he know he was Quite worthless through and through. He came upon a village soon Beset by a horrible foe. "Help, help!" cried the townsfolk And to William they cried their woes. A dragon, huge and breathing flames Was eating all the girls William's anger sparked and his sword shone His banner then unfurled Racing on his charger straight at the dragon's nest He gave no thought to life or limb Or any of the rest. He drew his sword and swung it thrice And called so it could hear. "Oh cowardly dragon, hear me now, Sir William is here!" The ground shook like an earthquake And the cavern spouted flames From within the darken depths The dragon slowly came. It was enormous, right and true It's wings could touch the skies The teeth were like the swords of old And the scales as big as pies. "Who are thee to disturb me, The dragon of despair?" "You hunt the weak," Sir William yelled "Without even a care!" The dragon chuckled, "Foolish boy, that's the way of life." His chuckle shook the heavens and his eye was like a knife. "Turn 'round right now and maybe thou shalt live to see the 'morrow. But if you wish to meet your doom, I'll bear thee no large sorrow." Sir William clanked his visor down and readied his great lance. "I may die, but at least I'll have given it a chance." The knight rode fast and thrust his lance Straight to the dragon's heart. But the beast knocked it aside And splintered it apart. "This is the last warning I'll give Before I kill you, knight. Save yourself a gruesome death and give up this vain fight." Sir William drew his shining sword And whispered to the steel, "You've never failed me all my life, Truth, don't fail me now." He cried his battlecry And hurtled at his foe. Truth he held in his mailed fist To his death he did go. Despair hissed at the hated Truth And tried to dodge it's bite But Truth was swung with deadly speed And quickly turned the fight. The shining sword went snicker-snack And the dragon's head detached. But much to his dismay, It quickly re-attached. The dragon laughed quite evilly And grinned an evil grin. "You're a weakling, Sir William, And my dinner will begin." The dragon ate the cursed knight, And crunched him right in two, And all the world breathed a sigh of relief Both the many and the few. Despair defeated Truth that day Sir William's final shield And now the knight resides upon Hell's flaming little fields His friends are all much happier Without his curse to hurt And now they all laugh easier Now that's he's under dirt. The moral of this story friends Is that a life can be worthless And that death may be the answer Within a life that's mirthless You know Sir William by the name of Falcon And this is his great song So why don't you all cheer his death And come and sing along? 9. Well, that's the most original work I've seen this year...if a tad creepy. Lol, ketchup battlers...lol.
  10. William looked around warily, as he still believed that SOMETHING other than him and then almost screamed. Stick stood there in a bathrobe with a newspaper tucked under one arm, staring at them blearily with a glass of water in one hand. "What the hell...I knew it, all that alcohol last night...I'm seeing things." Stick muttered. He waved at Seth and Will irritably. "Go 'way, hallucinations, I don't have time for you right now." Will narrowed his eyes irritably and mutered a few curses. "Stick, it's really me. Will. Falcon's friend." Stick narrowed blurry eyes. "Why it is! And that's really Seth, eh?" Seth bowed and they all sat down, while William summoned a few glass bottles of soda for them all. After their mutual thirst was quenched, they all got to talking. "So Stick," asked Will, "What are you doing down here?" Seth nodded along with him. Stick stretched out. "That, my friends is a long story."
  11. William never was a very patient person, so the first thing he did upon reaching the scene was to point at the door and bark a command. "BURST!" The door splintered and flew inward and William Azunost strode in, his demon blade quivering with energy and his blue cloak shimmering. In front of him was the mutilated body of the dead soldier, which covered most of the ransacked room. In the center of the nearest wall, painted in blood, was a message, which William looked over. Run run run, as fast as you can, You can catch me, I'm the missing man The one without a body or soul The one that fell through the hole So try and try, you'll always lose While I lead you 'round by the nose William snarled slightly and almost eradicated that message like the door beforehand, but instead held his temper. Instead, he drew his demon blade and held it aloft before him. "Demon lords, submit to my will! Bring me to where this madman hides!" He cried, bringing his awesome might to bear upon the three demon lords in the sword. An unearthly howling filled the room as the demons fought him, but he held strong, beating them down with his mind. Eventually they stopped struggling and the sword started humming slightly. Behind him, Falcon, Cioden, and Lieutenant Hayden all walked in, dressed for battle. Falcon wore his customary black splint mail with his staff in his right hand humming slightly in tune with the demonic sword. His splint mail was designed for maximum movement and protection at minimum weight. Cioden wore plate armor the color of the deepest depths of night, with Nightshade, the shapeshifting sword, in a scabbard at his back. Silver roses climbed up his armor, blooming one on each shoulder. His helm had the all-seeing eye on it's brow, and two wings swept back from either side. Lieutenant Hayden wore the black military uniform with the black beret and carried nothing. William himself waved a hand and was instantly in his night-blue gothic fullplate, complete with gauntlets and helm. His blue dragonscale cloak shimmered on his shoulders, and the demonsword's scabbard, of the same material as the cloak, hung at his belt. He nodded to the lieutenant. "Hayden, I need you to keep an eye out here. If I don't return within 3 days, evacuate the area of civilians, and send in the shadow troops on full alert." The soldier saluted smartly, turned on a heel, and left. William turned back to the sword. "Open a portal!" he cried, and the blade shone with red light as a blindingly white portal opened ahead of them. Without a second glance, they all dashed through. Lie
  12. *Cioden, William, Falcon all file in, looking rather pissed* C: Great, now what are we going to do? The drummer got struck by lightning on the way here, and now we don't have one... W: Shush, Cioden...Falcon, you got any ideas? F: (looks at the disco ball in the center, entranced) Shiny! W & C: Right. W: So anyway, what are we going to do now...Wait a second! C: The drum machine! W: Yeah! *Cioden pulls out the drum machine, hooks it up the amps that William sets up, and then almost reverently pulls out Lucas, his guitar* C: sound check, one two... *While Cioden is checking the mikes, William Azunost is walking around making last minute decisions, including handing Falcon his bass, at which point the normally insane mage become remarkably alert and aware* F: Kay then, let's get rolling. *Seeing that everything is okay, Cioden hits the footpedal for the drum set and starts playing. William grabs the mike and starts singing a really really old song* Happy (belated) Birthday to you! Happy (belated) Birthday to you! Happy (belated) Birthday, dear Wyvern (guitar solo) Happy (belated) birthday to...you! *They continue playing, taking requests*
  13. William Azunost, Lord of Rhadeon and the lands surrounding it, Master Swordsman in the style of the Bat, and Mage of unsurpassed skill... ...Was quite lost. "DAMNIT!" He yelled, kicking at a nearby rock. He had been wandering through these damnable tunnels for hours looking for a wine cellar that Falcon had pointed him toward. Suddenly he remembered that the bottle Falcon was swinging around was suspiciously light and empty... Damn. Up ahead he heard a loud crumbling sound and instantly he had his longsword out of it's scaled blue scabbard and into his hands, it's point directed at the sound that had alerted him. "Hmm, I wonder what this is," he wondered to himself while walked forward through the hole that he found ahead of him. "I'm faintly surprise...sweet mother of Orlan!" He found himself in a hall of unearthly beauty and ruins. "Sweet tap-dancing christ, this place is just like the Ruined City from Final Fantasy III!" he said, then walked onward. He eventually came to the room where sunlight filtered in through the lake next the The Pen, and he stopped, awed by the sight. OOC: I saw LotG's post in the Rooms thread, and I thought I might as well start an RP on the idea, as he isn't very writing-ish anymore, probably really busy. If you don't want me to, LotG, tell me and I'll have someone delete it, but in the meantime...post away everyone, let's explore this place and add a treasure to the Pen!
  14. *Falcon wanders in wearing a long white doctor's robe and a stethescope* Hmm...stick out your tongue and say Ah... *Rashash does so and makes a aaaaahhh sound* Good good, now say apple. *Rashash, puzzled, does so and makes a sound along the lines of affhole* Well excuse me! Here, say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. *Rashash glares at Falcon* Okay okay then, here, give him that poem and then thank me in the morning. Anyway, hand him that poem, god I think I'd get all weird and stuttery if I girl I knew wrote me a poem like that. "F-f-fff-ff-for m-m-muh-mmm--me?" But that's just me, so try it and see. 15. Cioden strode angrily into the room, followed by William Azunost and a man in a sharp black military uniform and a black beret, with a sword at his side and a silver belt circling his waist. The man in the uniform bowed stiffly at the waist, then clicked his heels sharply together and stood at attention. "At ease, lieutenant." said William wearily, motioning to the man in the uniform. The military man relaxed about a millimeter. Cioden cleared his throat and spoke to Peredhil, who was looking a little frantic. "We've got a situation on our hands," he said, his eyes wild, " A BIG situation." Peredhil eyed him cooly. "How big?" "Falcon's missing!" William burst out. Peredhil and company gasped, and Gyrfalcon (who happened to be in the same room) looked wildly around at the furniture to make sure Falcon wasn't going to bite him. Peredhil's eyes were a little less certain when he turned back to Cioden. "What do you mean, Falcon's gone?" "Gone, missing, kidnapped!!!" Cioden cried. "Sir, permission to speak, sir!" said the black-garbed military man. Cioden nodded wearily. "Permission granted, lieutenant, and introduce yourself to these guests." "Sir, First Lieutenant Hayden Jones of the 11th Special Ops division reporting for duty, sir!" He stood at attention and bowed stiffly at the waist again. Peredhil's brows rose a little, but he motioned to the lieutenant anyway. "At ease, lieutenant." "Peredhil, this man will help us find our thief, and my shadow hunters are on the lookout even as we speak. Soon enough we will find falcon, before he bites someone and Lieutenant here has to put them out of their misery. Falcon's catching."

  17. A large man with red hair and a pair and ski goggles on marched into the bar at the Alpine Terrace and ordered a drink, brushing snow out of his beard. "Here you go, one scotch on the rocks." The bartender said, sliding his drink over to him. The man took a long drink and sighed. Good alcohol was so hard to find up here. "Aye, that's a drink well worth the walk, I ken tell ye that much, friend. So, kinne'ye tell a good soul where he can find the Count Melbory's castle? I've heard a lot about him and how he's lookin' fer a special book that I may be able to help him find, fer a price." he asked the bartender. The bartender looked at him for a few seconds, then smiled a little. "I think that I can help you. What's your name, friend?" The red-haired man laughed. "I'm known as Brian McLeod, good man, and the count has heard of me before, I believe." The bartender laughed good-naturedly and walked around behind the bar and opened a door. "If you go through here you'll meet a man who will take you to see the count. Good luck." Brian laughed and walked through the door... ~to be continued~ Cioden Darkeye Quill-Bearer - The Pen is Mightier than the Sword President of the Peredhil Fan Club Owner of the Reply Raven - Enemy to all those who never post responses Ashaman - WoT - Blitz II Council - The Hunters - Blitz II Leisure Officer - SFV Ultima - Beta
  18. *Falcon debates whether or not it would be appropiate to cut and paste the Peredhil Fan Club's Official Nice Things About Peredhil Book on here, even though Falcon wrote it* But anyway, here's my list: #1. He's got that completely cool aura about him. I mean, the name Peredhil just emanates authority and coolness. And politeness. #2. His poetic skill is just sickening at times. I swear, it's like he's the channeler for all the great writers at once. #3. He's *just* insane enough to be funny. #4. He's really really really really really polite. And I mean, REALLY polite. As in, way too polite. #5. He's Nyyark's dad. I mean, how cool is that? 19. *the fires flicker and fade in the darkness, and they cast lengthening shadows, one of which stops moving. Cioden steps out of the non-moving shadow and strides over to where they are collecting roll call things and starts writing names* Lesse here, there's me, Kain Cabot, Falcon Darkwing, Trystan Darshere, Gharan Tolin, Durin Vance, William Azunost, and I think that's about it...Hmm... *Turns and strides out* Cioden Darkeye Quill-Bearer - The Pen is Mightier than the Sword President of the Peredhil Fan Club Owner of the Reply Raven - Enemy to all those who never post responses Ashaman - WoT - Blitz II Council - The Hunters - Blitz II Leisure Officer - SFV Ultima - Beta
  20. *Falcon bristles and narrows his eyes* To re-refute Gyr's points: #1. Vampires will live a heck of a lot longer, and it IS possible for a vampire to go out into the sun, just not for very long. Five minutes maximum. And so what if we can't go out when it's sunny...what else is cloud cover for, eh? #2. See original point #4 on superpowers. We're far stronger than the humans, and many of us don't even sleep unprotected anymore so we're rather safe there. #3. Hmph. I'd say Werefoxes don't smell all that great either, and I for one bathe regularly. Also, humans smell worse than we do, even when we don't bathe. #4. Vampires bite humans, humans join Vampire ranks. Vampires bite elves, elves join vampire ranks. You know, if we actually tried, we could repopulate the world with vampires really quickly. The only reason we keep our numbers small is supply and demand. There's only so much food to go around. #5. Obviously if you haven't heard of vampire lovers than you haven't read much about them. The main thing is that most vampiric lovers turn their victims so that they too become undead, so YES, they don't really spread the fame. BUT among other vampires, that doesn't apply. #6. I like the entire pale skin look, myself. Did when I was human too. Now it's just much more plentiful. And said human and elven woman can be made into vampire women quite quickly. #7. Do you realize how much those idiots miss with the stakes? I've woken up at least six times with one in my abdomen, shoulder, right chest, arm, and once in my LEG! I mean, it's not too much trouble to locate the heart, but they still have problems with it. #8. We are the coolest looking supernatural race. I mean, what is the competition? Let's see here... Imps? No, too completely annoying. Trolls? Give me a break! Zombies? Too no-brain-ish Skeletons? Too no-flesh-ish Werewolves? Ripping apart friends and family every full moon sounds REAL fun. Werefoxes? See above, plus I don't like foxes. Werebrutes? Giant evil canine/brute/thing is not good. 'Specially when he eats Succubis. Ghosts? Too insubstantial. Wyverns? No. Way. In. Hell. Dragons? Very very close match. In fact, some dragons are cooler than us. But not many. Angels? Way too stuck up. Devils? See above. Well, I'll leave you all with that. 22. Yeah, show me again What are my sins? I want to hold you but I've just Gotta keep moving on. I've had way too much time Keeping me down Under the ground I should have believed that when I lost you that I'd never find you I lost you in my life Well hate me I want you To prove to me the way I have to be Love me now I cannot find a better friend than you For hating me Yeah Love me now I cannot the better friend, it's all gone This time Ooooh yeah Show me the plan And tell me the end I tell ya that you'd better make another friend I lost you deep in time Well take me I want you To show me the way it has to be Love me now I cannot find a better path It's so dark Yeah Love me now Shun me and push off the ledge I'm falling This time... Oh Hate me now I cannot find the better life It's all gone Shun me now Show me your love with your hate It's better now... Yeah Throw me now Break apart my shattered dreams And kick me while I'm down. Break me now Drop me on the floor again Hate in love This time... Good song, I like this song, it's in actuality called Hate Me and it's by the band Tantric. Do yourself a favor and get the mp3 file and listen to it, then get the CD. This song kicks butt. 23. The shoe left untied, The child abandoned The report left unwritten never to see the sun. The girl that you liked that will now never know The things that you knew that you failed to show It's not the things you do, dear It's the things we've left undone That cause all of the suffering with the setting of the sun So always remember to finish what you start Or it will come back with the surety of art To lose a friend is hellish torture for sure But to not try to gain one is evil pure Ack this one was short, it's an adaptation of a poem I read a long time ago, but I'm not claiming to be the first person to write this, so It's not really plagiarism...oh well, night all, it's midnight here, and I'm tired. 24. *Falcon walks in, obviously perturbed* You're all wrong, us vampires have it the best. #1: We live longer than humans, and normally much longer than elves. In fact, due to that entire undead thing, we've got a quite long lifespan. Right up there with Demigods and immortals, actually. #2: We're pretty equalistic about who we consume. I mean, you can't be all that picky. #3: We look pretty damn cool. I mean, we always look good in black with skin the color of bone and those slightly pointed ears that we look so much better with than those sissy elves. We've got better fashion sense too, y'know. I mean, you don't normally see a vampire lord without a nice billowing cloak in crimson or black and formal attire underneath. #4: We have natural powers FAR outweighing either humans or elves. We have superhuman strength, the ability to hypnotize people, levitation, flight, and many many other things I can't remember for the life (death?) of me right now. #5: We have a certain reputation in the bedroom that elves and humans just *smirk* don't. #6: Vampire chicks are really hot. #7: Vampires actually aren't allergic to silver, and really like the metal. All in all, you'll see we're far superior. Now bow to your new vampire masters and hand over all valuables.
