  1. Stoomp comes running in, Teddy bear under his one arm, and a soapbox under the other. He puts the soap box down and neatly sits Teddy next to it. “You watch box.” With this said the dwarf runs out again, hugging Zira as she saunters in. The fireproof kitten sits next to the teddy bear and strokes with her head against it. She curls up around the teddy, and waits till the dwarf comes back to claim it. Dragging a plastic microphone and an enormous package with him, Stoomp darts back into the room. He sets up the microphone and dumps the package next to Zira and Teddy. “Good kitty, watch Teddy and box.” Then Stoomp climbs on top of the soap box, almost losing the struggle since the soap box proves to be rather high for a dwarf, but managing just. He sways dangerously, but moves the plastic microphone to his mouth. “Peepul, Peepul! Listen. Izze Big Kitty’s Buzzday today, and izze good ideer to all come and give giffs!” Stoomp climbs off the soap box, and runs around the corner, dragging a baffled Mynx into the room. He grabs the big package and dumps it into Mynx’s arms. The feline beauty smiles gently, and starts unwrapping the paper. Upon opening the box she discovers another smaller box inside. She looks at Stoomp and raises an eyebrow, but the dwarf is just grinning happily at her, dancing from one foot to the other with excitement. Mynx opens the smaller box, and discovers a tiny box inside it. She sighs, wonders if the boxes will be all the gifts, and starts opening up the tiny box. Inside there are some cottonballs, but as she rummages around a silvery glitter shines brightly. Carefully she removes the cottonballs, and in the box now only lays a small silver phoenix pendant. The tail is shaped as a small whistle, and a silver necklace is lying in the box with it. “Oooh,” Stoomp coos, “Thizze come wiv it.” He grabs a crumbled letter from his pocket and stuffs it in Mynx’s paws. The feline unfolds it, and on the paper is written with neat letters. “A special gift for a special person. Blow the whistle when you need a friend, dear Mynx. Troy will hear you, and let me know that a I'm needed as a friend. Love, Sweetcherrie.” The dwarf claps happily in his hands, and Zira lifts her head to see what all the noise is about, but then decides that sleeping is so much better. OOC: Happy Birthday Mynx I know it already is in your timezone
  2. So much hugging! Stoomp stared from Orlan to Yui-Chan. They seemed to be the basic huggers of the hugfest going on. And though he had no idea why there was so much hugging, he definitely had to join in. He blinked as Orlan disappeared, one less person to hug, but then new people streamed in to huggle the Elder of Shadows. A slow grin appeared on his face as he saw Gwaihir hugging as well, he seemed nice, but his eyes grew big when he saw Ayshela tacklehug Yui. She must be the uberhugger of them all! Stoomp was stepping from foot to foot, as if they were burning to move as well. Then he could no longer hold back. With Teddy in his hand he shuffled closer, and the moment Ayshela had let go of Yui-Chan, Stoomp extended his arms and hugged the new bard tightly. “Izze gooooood hugging!” He squeaked. OOC: Congratulations
  3. timing is not important. When the 48 hours are up I expect one pm from each team. I will then look trhough them and find all the links that were given in the pm's. The team that has most answers correct wins. If each time finds all answers correctly, each team wins Edit: Replying to two questions. If you think there is more than one answer, give both, and I can later see what to do with it. And I will post the questions without answers once the teams that signed up are finished, so the rest of the Pen can have a go at them

  6. As much as she had seen the pennites enjoy the carnival, Sweetcherrie did wonder how they would actually spend all that geld they had earned so far. Of course there was the bachelorette auction, she got butterflies in her stomach each time she tried to forget that, but there had to be some other way to spend the hard earned geld. She sat down in the sunshine, on what she hoped was grass (never too sure with the changing settings), and then felt something wriggle in her pocket. Fix climbed out of her pocket and sat down on her shoulder. He tilted his little head, and looked at her as if he was asking what was bugging her. Sweetcherrie extended her hand, and the golem stepped on it. It jumped up and down, got hold of her hair, and swung to sit on top of her head. She giggled, and the golem seemed to like this, because she could feel it sit down contently on her head. The she had it. She jumped up, and felt how the golem almost fell off her head. With both her hands she grabbed it, and with Fix in her hands she hurried off to get the necessary items. About an hour later her booth was ready. Fix carried a black pen over to her, and Sweetcherrie started writing. Finished writing, Sweetcherrie put down the sign and started working on the item she wanted to bring in to this auction. OOC: Items can be posted until 24th of June. This is slightly more than three weeks, but it’s after I finish everything with school, so I will have enough time to give the auction the attention it deserves
  7. Bored...hmm...you know there is a carnival going on? Lots of activities you could release your creativity on
  8. Hmm...I would like to have you aboard...and I do have stressy day the 6th I'll close sign up the 7th, and then there is 48 hours.

Please sign up with a team name and the two members that make up the team, thank you.
  10. Sweet was all excited. Never before had she been in a spaceship, and this was a special place as well. They would probably meet dragons and trolls and other scary beasties. Sweet was just trying to seduce her roaming marbles into her suitcase when Daryl sauntered by. The fox slipped in between her legs to look inside the suitcase. “Yes, I’m going on a trip, with beasties and nasties.” Sweet said seriously, and continued packing, “It will be very scary, but there is a biiiig power there, and we need to get it.” Daryl sat back and looked up seriously, yerfing as a marble circled his muzzle, "Are you going into danger, Sweet?" She stuffed her pogo stick onto the side of the suitcase, and neatly arranged her pens in a side pocket. Then she put some clean underwear in with her toys, and an extra pair of socks. Again she nodded seriously, “I think it will be veeeeery dangerous.” Daryl yerfed as he tucked a polishing cloth into the suitcase, the marbles coming to rest on it, then critically looked inside and added a small blanket. With a sigh, Daryl jumped into the suitcase and curled up "Well, I hope you can carry me in here then, because I'm going with you." The little girl blinked, “Would you do that for me? My very own personal foxy protector, yay!” Sweet huggled Daryl, and it was that moment that Richard decided to drop by. Sweet stepped in front of the suitcase and Daryl, and with a hand behind her back she pressed the suitcase closed. “Ready?” Richard asked. She nodded, “Just need to get this suitcase on board, could you help me?” Richard smiled and picked up her suitcase. “Ooff…what have you got in here?” Sweet thought of how much Daryl liked his goodies, and figured that she would have to find something for him once they would be far out into space, once Richard would not be able to send them back anymore. If Richard had listened a bit closer, he might have heard a foxy curse or two as the marbles bapped Daryl on the top of his head and then helpless, muffled giggling as the marbles polished themselves on his soft fur in ticklish spots. Richard neatly put her suitcase in one of the bedrooms, and Sweet managed to click the suitcase open before Richard took her back to the cockpit to explain the mission to her. Daryl popped his head out and then wiggled free of the suitcase, closing it swiftly to trap the marbles before he scuttled under the nearest tablecloth, peering out and waiting for Sweet to return.
  11. I have no idea what is wrong with the quoting system Edit: Thanks Gyr, for fixing my quotes
  12. *waves* I've read this a couple of times now, and thought it was time I would actually do something after that reading as well First thing's first, word found some small spelling mistakes. defenses = defences fulfill = fulfil traveled = travelled 2x Righty then to how I read the story I think you're doing a pretty good job here. You have a good idea, and you manage to convey it well. And, most importantly, it's fun to read. You manage to build up slowly, but without things getting boring. What could possibly be improved upon is the way you give character background. In the beginning it's almost as if you are simply stating a list of facts, and this might possible come across better if you weave this in more with some atmosphere remarks. For example here you could say how big the celebration was, what they did to celebrate, did his sister and brother celebrate, etc. It would make the story slightly more...hmm..decorated. The other thing I would like to suggest is to leave more space in between your paragraphs and dialogue. In the beginning I did the same, but it makes it harder to read the story online. (thanks to Wyv who gave me that tip in the beginning ) I love the way you leave the stairs as a cliffhanger! You wrote this so well that I really wanted to know more there and then. And seriously, you have to finish this story, cause I still want to know In the second part you develop the relationship between the two nicely, and the way you suggest that Syth is making those people leave by wanting it is cool to read as well. All in all I think you have a story that is definitely worth continuing, and hope we will get to read more soon
  13. With his arms tightly around the kitty and Teddy, Stoomp noticed how the cloud was hanging lower and lower. His feet almost touched the ground, and then a little girl jumped over to huggle Mynx. With a giggle he let go of kitty and huggled Sephora instead. Now poor Sephora was being held in Stoomp’s huggle, and all the others were dragging down half on the girl’s arms. And then it happened… “Ooooooh! Birdie!!!” As in slow motion his arms let go of all that he was holding. His feet touched the ground, and with a sideward move he escaped the tumble behind him. But Stoomp didn’t notice, all the happy dwarf saw was a biiiiig birdie walking by. He darted off and hugged Gryphon tight, burying his face in Gryph’s feathers. “Soft!” Stoomp crooled. Had he looked back he would’ve seen the funniest picture ever. Mynx, as any cat would, landed neatly, but Wyvern wasn’t as graceful. The almost dragon eeped and bounced, head first, on top of Mynx. Daryl got flung off of the lizards’s tail, and with his paws spread wide, flew through the air, and…. FLOP, flew straight into Ayshela’s face, and wrapped his paws around her head to hold on. Blinded by the fox Ayshela stumbled over, and sent Kaitlyn flying. The little girl cheered happily as she flew through the air. “Weeeeh!” and landed softly on Gyrfalcon, knocking the air out of him and the two Newt pillows he had just picked up. In the meantime the cloud was picking up height and speed again, but was now bucking like a raging bull. Sephora, who was unharmed on the cloud, was riding it like a rodeo cowboy, uttering excited squeaks.
  14. *chuckles* It was driving me insane at the time. Those are the moments I am really thankful I can write most of it out Well, they get caused by those things life will throw at you, and maybe they are those things. I know this only happens to me, when I'm at the point of being so busy that you just do nothing, because you've lost overview. *grins* yay...err...sorry, but they were supposed to do that Thanks guys
  15. sorry Pat, nothing as fancy as last year...still *huggles tightly* I hope you will have a grand party once your exams are finished tonight Happy Birthday!
  16. Yay! *hugs Evangeline* Glad I'm not the only lady here anymore And yeah, normally you could bring in RP characters *looks at the organizers of this activity* Mind if I explain? You can always correct me if I make mistakes Basically you sign up with a character, or two, or even ten. Then once the sign up is closed you get a chance to present your characters to the bidders. If your chars are sold, (and normally they all are) you will start writing out dates for the people that 'bought' the date. So keep in mind, if you bring in ten characters...that's a looooot of dates to write. *bounces* Am so glad to have you here
  17. Geld is updated in steps. Normally the guilds have a thread in their administration forum where they keep track off who has earned how much geld by writing in a carnival activity, and then every so often an elder drops in and updates the geld totals So yes, you will soon have the geld you earned by writing in the carnival Also something to think about, is that normally this earned geld gets spend on for example dates, and somehow it seems to me you would be the excellent candidate for the bachelorette auction
  18. Behind the scenes Sweetcherrie was in a rush. Her character description wasn’t finished by stage master Nobby yet, but she knew what her part would be. She hurried through the other players on her way to the dressing rooms, and almost knocked over Gwaihir who was just coming out of them. “Oooh, that Prince costume looks great on you!” She cheered, as she shot past him. Gwai flashed a nervous smile, and Sweetcherrie chuckled about the nervousness everybody had to cope with tonight. She had to admit that she herself felt a bit awkward; after all it wasn’t every night so many pennites showed up for a play about vampires. Inside the dressing rooms Salinye was just putting on her black velvet robes, and Sweetcherrie smiled as she grabbed her own outfit from the dresser. “Nervous?” Salinye turned her back towards Sweetcherrie, “A bit. Could you do up my zipper?” Sweetcherrie clenched the blouse she had just taken off between her thighs and hopped forward to do up the zipper on Salinye’s back, carefully holding her hair out of the way from the zipper. “I bet it will be great.” She babbled on as she quickly got changed into her own black dress, “I just hope that the audience will like it as well.” Salinye smiled a warm Salinye smile, “I’m sure they will. Ready for make-up?” Together they walked over to the make-up tables and Sweetcherrie chuckled as she saw Ozymandias. He was trying to keep the large crown (designed especially for the role of king of kings) straight on his head, but each time he moved it slid half-way crooked over his ears again. Salinye and Sweetcherrie sat down at the make-up table, and Sweetcherie found her fake teeth. She slipped them in, and grinned at her image in the mirror. Two perfectly sharp teeth showed in the corners of her mouth, and she thought it actually looked pretty cool. She grabbed a sponge and quickly started to make her face slightly whiter. That blush was hard to cover up, but with a bit of extra powder she managed. “Five minutes before curtains up!” Stage master Nobby shouted. Sweetcherrie felt how another surge of nerves ran through her body. She knew it would be cool, but still, it wasn’t everyday she had to act out a vampire. Canid prowled in, and tilted her head to look at the two girls. “Yeah,” Sweetcherrie mumbled, “At least you have no costume to wear.” “People for act one, take your places!” Nobby’s voice made her shiver once more, and she took a last look in the mirror. It would have to do. “Break a leg.” Salinye said, and Sweetcherrie smiled as she rushed out the dressing rooms. She took her place on stage, and though she knew that it was common to wish this before a play, she sincerely hoped to not break any legs. She walked onto the stage, and the red curtains moved slightly. From behind them she could hear the audience talk excitedly, and turned around to take her starting position. “You’ll be doing fine.” Peredhil’s said reassuringly. He looked great, and she was sure that he would play an amazing head of the clan of vampires. Sweetcherrie smiled, feeling how her nerves subsided a bit. She quickly gave Peredhil a hug, and moved to where she had to be when the first scene would start. “And three…two…curtains up!” The curtains opened as Nobby gave the signal. The spotlights went on, and the game had begun…. OOC: Kay, trying to turn this into something positive Please feel free to join in with this play, the setting is vampires. Look at it as a sort of Underworld, and with a bit of luck we’ll get some werewolves to join in later Nobody will be their own character in this. You will basically all play someone else, but of course you’re more than allowed to make mistakes, or insert some humour in this. (I can’t imagine Sweetcherrie to go through an entire play without clumsing up once for example, and if Wyvern were to join in…well…hey, we all know that things will most likely go different as planned ) 10 geld for each participation, and 5 geld for each played out joke.
  19. Yo! Signing up with Sweetcherrie and Dana here Oh, and if I could get Stoomp in a dress would he be allowed to sign up? I think I heard him say something about wanting to join into the fun (just kidding) (Sorry about the OOC, couldn't get into Sweetcherrie's head)
  20. Mario’s stomach was starting to hurt from not eating, but then he saw a little village in the distance. His eyes lit up, and he started bouncing, and double-bouncing. The blackbird flew up from his shoulder, which was a good thing, cause then Mario jumped so high that he hit his head against the tree limb above. Leaves fell from the tree, and the moment they touched Mario’s head he suddenly felt a bit wheezy. His feet started to feel tighter and tighter in his shoes and they started hurting, but Mario didn’t notice and sprinted off towards the village. As he ran his feet seemed to grow even bigger in his shoes, and suddenly he stumbled over. Like a spinning ball he shot off towards the village, with the blackbird flying as fast as it could to keep up with him. Mario rolled straight into a door, knocked it in, and didn’t come to a stop until he bumped into a pair of legs. He untangled himself from his, by now enormous, feet, and as he looked up, he looked straight into the eyes of a nightelf. Two shining white eyes looked down at him, and bright blue hair waved around her head. OOC: The nightelf can be defined by the next person writing
  21. Hmm… *goes to make cappuccino while going over this again in her head* You know.. *returns with cappuccino in her hands* Pretty cool that two lamps can give you this, inspiration is all around us, and I’m glad one of its waves managed to grab you You’ve captured Yin and Yang very effectively with these simple words, and how you look at it with different angles before deciding that the middle should be the right way to go, is done pretty well. One possible suggestion, but mainly something that makes sense in my head, is to try and change the order of the second stanza. Erm…let me try and explain why. In the first stanza you let us look at the dark before looking at the light. As if you’re looking at a line-up…first comes dark, and after dark you get light. In the second stanza you repeat this, first dark and then light (peril and hope). And then in the third you switch to the middle way, because to have someone or something standing at your left and your right, you need to be in the middle. It could possibly be nice to change to point of view in the second stanza, as if you’ve walked around the situation and are now looking at it from a different side, first light then dark. Not only gives this the other side, but it also builds towards hopefulness, because you first see what’s right and not until later you take a look at what can go wrong. Not sure how much you would have to throw the words around to achieve this, but it’s only a suggestion. *breathes* Right, quite a bit of dissecting for one cup of cappuccino *finally takes a sip and notices that it is cold* Oh well, either way, I really like this and the images it gave me were not those of lights, but those of whole world of right and wrong. Thanks
  22. Stoomp suddenly loses his interest for the sheep/pillow fight when he sees a new booth being set up. He lets go of the pillow he’s holding and without taking his eyes of the new booth, he starts waddling over to Wyvern’s Cloud Lift, a couple of pillows miss him with only an inch to spare, but Stoomp has his eyes on the almost dragon. That guy seems to be everywhere, and Stoomp decides that he must either be very important, or have lots of twin brothers. He arrives at the booth and looks at the midget statue with the tickets and tilts his head. When he sees it’s actually breathing, the dwarf decides that he must be cold if he’s so stiff, and huggles him tightly. The midget eeps and with fright of choking he lets go of the tickets. Stoomp catches them, and looks at the troglodyte. “You wanna?” The troglodyte steps back and holds its hand in front of him, “Nono, you can ave em. I insist, just no more hugging.” From next to him Stoomp hears grumbling, and looks up. Wyvern has stepped up, and has heard the last sentence from the midget. “You stupid, good for nothing, undersized, idiot! You’re not supposed to give those tickets away for free!” The midget stumbles backwards, and then turns around to run for his dear life. Stoomp looks at the angry almost dragon, and understand that he’s not supposed to get the tickets for nothing. He sticks his chubby arm deep in his pocket, comes across teddy, and then finds what he is looking for. With the device in his hands he pulls his arm back from the bag, and presents it to Wyvern. “Izza magic shoo.” He mumbles, and takes Wyvern’s claw, pressing something that looks mostly like a whistle with plush sticking on it, in the lizard’s palm. “Now I go up?” Wyvern looks at the whistle thing, wondering what the hell he should do with a ‘shoo’ and doesn’t notice how Stoomp puts his backpack back over his shoulders and wobbles off to the lift. The dwarf grabs hold tightly of teddy, and then sees Mynx hurrying by. “Oooh, kitty!” Before Mynx can react things all happen at once. The chair catches Stoomp’s bum, Stoomp catches Mynx’s waist with a huggin arm, and Mynx grabs hold of Wyvern to try and stay on the floor. The lift creeks and moans, but then the three of them move along. Stoomp holds the kitty tight around her waist, so she won’t fall, and Wyvern can only hope that Mynx’s grip will be less firm as the lift moves faster, dragging the lizards tail over the floor. OOC: let me know if this is ok for the both of you
  23. Having been there all along, Tanira steps forward from the shade. The catsuit she’s wearing clings tight around her luscious body, and every soft curve can be seen. Her moves are gracious, but muscles can be seen moving under the shine of the fabric. As the wind picks up, a lock of short dark hair moves, and her green eyes flicker as she looks up at the pirates. The light catches on the one thing that decorates her outfit; a shiny silver star. Pressed against her waist it could be anything from a broche to a weapon. On her back she carries a black velvet sheath that holds her sword. Two smaller pouches cling to her hips. The wind gives another pull at her hair, and she grants the pirates a thin smile. When she finally speaks her voice is soft, but it is clear that this is no lady to handle without gloves. “Tanira, at your service.”
  24. http://storymind.com/dramatica/characters.htm A site with a long list of articles about how to best create a character. They mainly talk about literature here, but personally I think writing a story and writing roleplay is not that far apart. http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/...f/charlist.html A checklist for character creation. http://codepoet.org/~markw/gurps/player/checklist.html And another checklist for character creation.
