  1. So I take it the answer Regel wanted was an actual example of something we regret? I'm kinda lost as to what he was really meaning. I, myself, don't feel comfortable expressing actions in my life of which I may or may not regret. I understand that you guys have all known each other a while, so it may not be a big deal for you to post such a thing, but I will not. The reason I choose not to live with regret of my actions is because it's pointless. Sure, there are things I would love to change, but it's not going to happen. If I spent all of my time regretting my actions, I'd be a pathetic human being. But personally, I'd rather learn from how I screwed up, rather than sit around crying wishing I could change something.
  2. I woke up today knowing what I had to do. Just like any other day, I get dressed and put on my shoes. But for some reason, the sky seemed more blue, the sun seemed brighter, even the air felt a bit lighter. When I get to work, I put in my eight hours. Stop over at my girl's to bring her flowers. But it's friday night, and the party's going strong. Hit up my boys and it's time to get it on. After the party, it's time to go home. I tell my friends, "See you later." But I know that I won't, they'll all be in sorrow. Tonight's the night I close my eyes and kiss the world goodbye. I woke up knowing that today would be my last. God damn life seems to go too fast. It's all over now, but I've got no regrets. At least I know that I tried my best.
  3. Wow, that is really awesome. Great job Wyvern. I remember when I was thinking about writing a poem or perhaps a song about Icarus, but at the time, it didn't fit into what I wanted to write. And I can honestly say, I don't have to attempt one now, because you already crafted a great piece.
  4. I think the word regret is too strong of a word, but since I don't know of a better term, I'll use it. There are some things I regret doing, or things I regret saying. It's not hard to admit that I screwed up. But, I can't go back and change it, nor most likely would I change it. I learned from my mistakes, so there's no point in unlearning that wisdom.
  5. Sitting here at my desk, I hear a voice in the distance. I can't make out what she said, but I'm sure it can't be good. She demands that I write, for it must be a work of brilliance. If I don't do as she says, she'll strip away my manhood. I try to take a break, and relax my weary head. I hear the whip crack, "GET BACK TO YOUR WORK!" All of this time, I've just wanted to go to bed. As she screams, I just give her a smile, a grin, a smirk.
  6. Haha, you are a brat! But yes, Hello to you all.
  7. This is a really cool poem. I love the freeform beat. Very descriptive, I could just hear the instruments being played. Thanks for a great read

I'm not very good with poetry and stuff, and I know I'm new around here, so I hope no one gets angered at any suggestions I might post. It is a great theme, I really do like it, albeit a bit political. I agree with Xaious suggestion, but for the line, steal the thoughts from my head seems like it would sound better than of my head. But just my opinion, again I don't want to upset anyone. Overall it was a really good poem. I'm glad I stumbled on this website today
