DoomGaze
Swoop of Hunger -------------------------- On a gloomy summer's night, An owl hoots his song. He lurks on top a his tree And hunts his prey that comes along. Feathers sway in the gentle breeze, His eyes pierce through darkness' veil. He swoops down, and glides in the air. Talons grip hard a like a clenched fist. He finds his first victim of the night, A mouse who was running around. His accuracy serves him well, And he pins the poor little creature to the ground. Handing out a swift and sudden death, He brings his prize back on the tree. A good meal, which will satisfy him, So he rests, for he is no longer hungry. Archaneus
I like this. It has a serious sense to it, but it's a light seriousness. Again, I like.
