Upon Being Mistaken for Appy

On IRC, just now in fact,

We had a morphing name,

Appy started, then I joined in,

And confused poor Morgane.

 

Appy ended 'MegaMelon,'

And I was Finnfused there,

When Morgy sent me a PM,

Intended just for her!

 

It took us all a moment,

To realize this plight,

When Morgy, seeing double,

Said "Appy is Finnius, right?"

 

Confusion reigned, laughter bloomed,

And in the end we got it,

So let this be a lesson,

When Appy's there, I'm not it.

 

So, although this mess is finished,

And although it may sound sappy,

For even just one minute,

It was kinda fun being Appy.

It is moments like these that make me glad I stay on IRC and log events! Great poem, Finnie-kun, in your typical, amusing style. Thanks so much for sharing both the funny moments and your equally-funny tribute to them. I appreciate the gift of laughter in the midst of an otherwise-dull day. You have quite the talent for it.

One thing I would note is that you don't have any set style with this poem, though in most of the sections, the second and forth lines rhyme, while the first and third do not. I congratulate you on giving your poem a nice flow. Despite the lack of rhyming at the end of every pair of lines, you maintain a good rhythm that allows the poem to flow naturally, not disjointedly.
