  1. MeThinks, I guess you'll be the butler of an NPC. It will fit nicely with what I'm planning. Unless somebody here wants to be a wealthy lord with an estate in a small village, and hire you to work there; that would also be fine. So, with the choice of characters so far, I'm setting the game in a small village; have yet to decide if it will be on the coast or on the countryside, so if anybody wants to have a character linked to the sea, go for it. Maybe it's a good change of setting. Katzaniel and Ozymandias, and any other player who wants to have a RPing partner (as Katz/Ozy or Vahk/myself last game): feel free to look for anyone to play with you, and to PM to set the details... but do this before first post of the game is up. After I send the PMs with the roles, no communications please. Rely on RP for anything else after that. The more people, the more fun If we ever get to 17 people, that assures a 3rd wolf. The only thing I do ask from you, dear players, is that you help with the pacing of the game, voting when needed. Unless you want to be playing this until Christmas... It seems we're up to great fun! ~Tanny
  2. lol Yeah, it's pretty enough, Eyremon!!! By the way, have you already met my good friend Dr. Watson?? Well, as it seems we'll go with the Sherlock Holmes setting... please, post or PM me your character's name and status. Sign-up is still open, but up to now we have: Katzaniel - Katharine, retired schoolteacher MeThinksUFoolish - Wetherby Danielson, butler Vahktang - Mr. Vahktang, Georgian gentleman on tour of the Continent X-Sabre - George Worthington, tavern owner Degenero Angelus - Tamaranis - Ozymandias - Marcus, a butcher (Katharine's son) Nave - Lady Celes Crusader - Matteo - Dean - Vincent Cuthbert, doctor of Chemistry Elwen - Lady Emily Galanodel, unconventional teenage noblewoman Eyremon - Edwyn Cooper, American soldier/merc just back from Africa ~~~~~~~~ Edited to update the names/status of characters.
  3. Elwen has just posted the first part of Hisoka and Shizuka's backstory! Go read, it's in Assembly!
  4. Wow, Elwen! This is really catching! I'm looking forward to more of the twins' story, I'm sooo curious... can't wait to know what happened to part Hisoka and Shizuka... Please, please... don't take too long... On another note, to those who eventually wonder about the "Land of Rising Moon" story, it was the setting of the 2nd Werewolf game and Elwen played her character Hisoka. You can find it at the Conservatory. The Chronicles will be a story telling of the events RPed in the game, and I'll be writing them up soon. ~Tanny Edit: You can find the First Chronicles here
  5. Good luck, Dean I hope no one remembers you've been modding... hehe... Elwen, the presence of channelers wouldn't be really a problem in WoT setting... it will be taken care of Anyway, it seems that we are for the Sherlock setting!
  6. Glad to have my wolfie packmate back in a game. I hope you have fun! (I'd be pretty careful around Lady Celes, really... she's very dangerous, as you had chance to see first-hand. And her spanking isn't very enjoyable, either. )
  7. Welcome, Matteo Playing isn't complicated... it's just about roleplay and survival, really If you want, take a look at the first werewolf game and see what happened. You'll do just fine. You can always PM me if you have doubts/problems. ~Tanny
  8. lol I gave up on book eight... that's why the proposed setting is around book seven Maybe one day I actually finish the other books. Who deserve thanks is Dean, really. I came here because he called, and I'm modding because I had so much fun RPing here! I do hope to be able to give as much fun to everybody as Dean did!
  9. Well, at least for this time I am above any suspicion... You woulnd't spank the mod, would you?
  10. Glad to have you, Tamaranis Please, could you go to the sign-up post at the Conservatory and help choosing the setting? Thanks! ~Tanny
  11. If you look at the header of your post, or anyone else's, there's the date and time you posted. That's the time-stamp for your post. If you're using the appropriate time setting for your region (through the "My Controls" settings), you can easily calculate any period that uses that as a reference. For example, if I say "day phase ends 48h from this post time stamp", it means the same for both of us: 48 hours after the time marked in this post header. For example, my post time-stamp is 9:54pm in my time. It will be different in yours, but 24 hours from now will be the same for us both.
  12. Katzaniel, don't worry so much about timezone. I'll be using the post time stamp, so I hope everybody will be able to figure out easily when a deadline is. You can always PM me to clarify it. Sabre, I'm glad to have you here. I understand RL interferences, so if by any chance you have to take a longer break from the game, PM me and I'll try to accomodate it so that you (or anyone else) don't miss the fun. To all: it's nice thinking about the characters in advance, so a notice I was planning to put on later: no actual characters from Wheel of Time or Sherlock Holmes are allowed (no, you cannot play Holmes, Watson, Rand al'Thor, Perrin... ). ~Tanny
  13. Well, Werewolf II got to its end... and wolves won. If you would like to play, please come and join us at the Conservatory - there's a sign-up post for Werewolf III here If you don't know what the game is about, check the rules First Game (in Romania) Second game (Feudal Japan) Q+A It's great fun and we are all waiting for new (and old) players there! Please do come! ~Tanny
  14. Okay, sign-up for Werewolf III is up! :wizzie: As the second Werewolf has just ended, now it's time to choose a new setting and get players - both old and new! I have two ideas for the setting: The Wheel of Time setting (based on the series by R. Jordan) goes at about the time of the 7th book (A Crown of Swords); and Victorian England , based on Sherlock Holmes' adventures. If by any chance you aren't familiar with the settings, don't worry - we can always assign you an easily RPed character. Don't let that spoil your fun! So, please sign in and don't forget to vote! Also, some notices for this game: * Just clarifying, you cannot choose special roles (wolf/seer/baner); however, if for some reason you rather play a villager, please PM me saying so (no announcing it here, please! ) I'll do my best to accomodate it. * Please, all who sign-up are required to actively participate - that is, post at least once during each day phase and send PMs as asked by the mod; this is a mystery/suspense game, so having non-active players really confuses it. On occasion, I can post PMd/e-mailed votes if a player has to be absent for some days. If you still want to play but you're not sure about posting regularly, PM me. * I'll be working with an extended day phase, ranging from 36 to 48 hours; please check specific time at the end of each night phase post once the game has begun. * At the end of day phase, a lynching will occur notwithstanding the number of votes (even if there's just one vote); if there's a tie, I may roll to determine who dies. So be sure to place your votes before the deadline. * In case there are no votes whatsoever, day phase will be extended, at the end of which I may roll to randomly lynch a character if there are still no votes. Please note that all this is just to avoid the game lagging. * Similarly, if by the end of night phase I don't have all PM's needed, I may roll randomly to determine the people Seen/Baned/Killed, as necessary. So, let's go for it ! Sign-up will be open until Sunday, hopefully the game will start on Monday! ~ Tanny EDIT: Updating the probable date for starting the game
  15. LOL That was good MeThinksUFoolish, I take from what you say that you agree to the Chronicles? You played great .
  16. =P LOL Well, I think you got me ... Thoughts can't lie, of course. But as I was playing a wolf, I couldn't put my reals thoughts, could I? It's RP but it's a game, Katzaniel. Don't overanalyse it... the fun is in trying to survive through RPing. Some will keep just spoken words and acts, but I do put everything. Maybe it's not quite right, but it's what I do. I really don't have any explanation for that. So it was that I said the wolves are played as the player sees fit. Sorry if my RPing does take some licence from what would be "real"... But the important is that it doesn't spoil anyone's fun, including the player's. ~Tanny
  17. Dragonqueen, thanks for the permission. I won't do anything with Hoshiko, really; mainly, I'm using her exactly as you created and RPed her. That's why I want permission to use the characters, for I'll put next to nothing of myself into them. Lady Celes, it's really fun when you can see the game from both points of view. I've never played the Seer, but being the Baneer and deciding when to stop baning yourself to protect a claimant to be the Seer, or try to Bane the Wolf, is also pretty fun. In my last game elsewhere, the Seer made himself quite visible for me after he cleared me, so I could Bane him the whole game.
  18. Everybody was basically grasping at straws... for some reason, I felt that in this game it was difficult to locate good wolf suspects. It was well played, and with me and possibly some of others interpreting wrong what the Seer said, it would be practically impossible to get both wolves. So, in the end, either all of the innocents were idiots, or none of them. You played well, Elwen. I liked your character and the hints you gave about your backstory. I'd really love to see you develop Hisoka in a story about her and her twin. Maybe you could even post that together with the Chronicles for this game . Or a separate story, but either way, I'd like to see it. And about the diary... well, it's never too much to remember that the wolves will use anything they can to survive. My guess is that they saw you as a possible Seer, from the way you talked about Hisoka's brother even in diary form. As Dean said once, all that's posted is open including to the wolves... they couldn't use your diary in the RP unless they caught it, but no one asks them to give IC reason to choose victims. It's how the game's played. I do hope to see you next game, Elwen. The sign-up post should be up either later today or tomorrow morning. ~Tanny
  19. LOL And I guessed in the wrong direction... that you had seen Kinjiru/MeThinksUFoolish and was just defending Shijin/Mira because he was absent...
  20. Lady Celes, if you hadn't killed Akane she would have accused you next. I was between you and X-Sabre that last day, and when he turned to be innocent, I had my thoughts on you. I'd like to have the wolves' PMs after I check with MeThinksUFoolish if he agrees with the Chronicles, thanks! Katzaniel, I really like your idea for next PMs. I'll ask it right at the sign up post, thanks for the suggestion. ~Tanny
  21. The darkened room muffles Rialla's steps, furniture and stony floor covered in fine dust. She bumps into something covered in faded silk, and sneezes when uncovering it. "Drat the dust... What is this?" A whitish shape that seems to both attract the little light in the room and repel the dominating shadows sits on the waist-high pedestal. Rialla goes to the big windows, and draws open the heavy curtains. The light that filters through the window panes has an eerie quality, dancing around the statue. "It's... beautiful..." Rialla stoops to examine better the statue, then frowns. "Weird..." The filtered light seems somehow brighter around the statue, blurring its contours and tricking Rialla's eyes. Then, what at first seemed to be a woman carrying a basket suddenly resolves itself into a half-woman carrying a bowl, her lower body part of what seems a seething mass of curves that look like tentacles. Rialla touches the curves, feeling a soft texture unlike anything she has ever touched or seen. Or even heard about. "That face... why do I seem to recall having seen it somewhere?" Wondering, Rialla soon notices that the half-woman is resting against a tree, and that acorns cover the ground near the tentacles. Nearest to the tentacles, a darker spot catches her attention. There, contrasting to the soft light around the statue, a small acorn-shaped hole seems to irradiate shadows. Rialla looks at the acorn still on her hand. "Same shape... same curves... just... smaller." The missing acorn in the statue should have been an exact miniature of the acorn from the door. "And thinking of it... why a real acorn in a carved door?" With a start, Rialla looks at the staircase dominating the room.
  22. *stunned* Kinjiru?? I suspected Lady Celes, really... but MeThinksUFoolish is a complete surprise! Oh well... Lord Iago, could you post who you've Seen while you were alive? It does seem I misunderstood your hints... *Hugs everybody* It was very good roleplaying and it was fun! Thanks! I'll be definitely writing Wolfen Chronicles for this one, so please I still need word from MeThinkUFoolish, X-Sabre, Dragonqueen, Mira, Damon Inferel, and Vlad to see if there's no problem on using your characters as you RPed them. If the Wolves, Seer and Baneer could contact me with details on their plans, I'd also be glad. Keep your eyes open... signup for next Werewolf will come up soon! A special thanks to Dean!!! And... Happy Birthday, MeThinksUFoolish *hugs* Best wishes for you, and hope to see you next game! ~Tanny
  23. OOC Well, here it goes... my setting is the abandoned castle and the acorn *********** Rialla wanders in that unknown land, intent on trying to find again the right road. Looking at the sun that comes from between the leaves of the quite closed forest, she sighs. "Why did I ever tried a shortcut? I'll never arrive anywhere if I keep walking and guessing directions... at least if I could see clearly the sun or the stars..." She wipes sweat from her forehead, resting a bit. Then, while glaring at the trees she notices a glint coming from the South -- from what seems to be the South, anyway. Staring at that, she shrugs. "Well, any direction is better than none at all." The forest suddenly opens into a clearing, in the middle of which stands what seems to be a castle. Old, big, with some wings in ruins and the forest partly recovering its grounds. But mainly intact. The rays of the afternoon sun glance over metallic spires, sending bright-red beacons into the forest around. Shadows dance across the castle, sometimes just enhancing its eerie quality, sometimes bringing about a sharpness that tells of reality ages past. Rialla approaches the castle, drawn by something she cannot define. Stairs lead to heavy wooden doors, carved to show scenes of battle and glory. But carved also to show in the background scenes of a beautiful forest. She wonders at the details she can see, forgetting for a while that she's admiring actual doors and not a work of art. Always softly, she touches the wood and runs fingers through the delicate carving. Something catches in her fingers... and Rialla finds herself plucking out part of the carving without thinking about it. As she looks at her hand, she sees an acorn - not carved, but a true acorn. On the door, she can see the place where it was. And as she touches that cavity, the doors open silently. ******* OOC I hope this is what you meant, Katzaniel... if it isn't, please drop me a line and I'll edit it And (correct me if I'm wrong) I will keep writing about it until you tell me who I should join with, right?
  24. Katzaniel, as Dean said the role of the Baneer can have some variations and it's up to each Mod to set it. The sign-up post and first post of the game thread is very important also because of the instructions they would bring. So, each game can be a bit different. You are free to RP as much as you want, showing or not emotions, being as plain or deep as you want. The mod just asks you to stick to the proper deadlines for voting. As for the wolves, the players set their mood... of course, as this is a game, they'll either have to lie or actually commit suicide. If you want, check the first Werewolf thread, where I played the wolf. The Wolfen Chronicles and backstory: you can have a backstory for your character but, as Katzaniel pointed out, it's just when the game starts that you know if you're the Seer/Baneer/Wolf, so part of that backstory is necessarity created afterwards. The Chronicles are writen after the end of the game, so we can put all the development, including any interaction the wolves care to have "recorded". I may be writing up this one, if Dean and the other players give me permission for that So, if the wolves later would tell me their reasoning for choosing each victim, or if they still have the PMs they've exchanged, I'd be glad to listen/see them. ~Tanny
  25. OOC: And what Vahktang said gave me an idea... please, would you all check my post at the Q+A thread? Just to avoid cluttering the game thread Thanks! ~Tanny
