With tears that I cannot shed, I weep for the things I once believed, For the things I thought I had, When my illsions shattered, And with them all I stand on. With nothing below me, Must I not fall? (conversion confusion, this is the post that begins the thread) *I'm new, so what better place to start than my first poem?* I stand before the mirror, But what do I see? This is not my reflection, That stares back at me. Those eyes are full of sorrow, I know they’ve seen such pain, They know it’s not the last time, They’ll see it all again. I try to reach and help them, The glass gets in the way, I see the hurt they’re going through, There’s nothing I can say. I turn my back I walk away I don’t know what to do, It hurts to see them stuck like this, And now I’m stuck too.
