Arashi Posted August 13, 2004 Report Share Posted August 13, 2004 Why do we set ourselves up for the heartbreak Leaving ourselves to cry in the twilight Tears to kiss the pillows As we drift off into a downward spiral of sleep Our dreams throwing more bad scenarios in our face Waking the next morning to take one step closer Closer to the edge of forfeiting life Why do we try to make things right Either by drinking it all away Or struggling to make it half way Receiving broken hearts and shattered bones In the end falling behind the ones who drift along Venturing the easy route set apart from their dreams To a place that far too many call "successful" Why do we do this Because we are free We chose to live this way Refusing to take it easy Living for the risk and uncertainty of our dreams And loving every minute of it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
