The Pen is Mightier than the Sword abides by the universal laws of copyright, which can be explored in further detail at http://www.copyright.gov. The Mighty Pen is generally known for its universal acceptance and positive approach to individuals, however plagiarism is unacceptable and will result in banning and a notification to the appropriate authorities.

The Library forum of the Pen can be used for sharing works that inspire you with others, however appropriate citation of the author and origin of the work are expected.

As William Blake said in his "Proverbs of Hell," however, "The cistern contains; the fountain overflows." While it can be nice to share a work from time to time, we at the Pen appreciate the writing that comes from your own imagination the most.

In particular, those worried about protecting their works should remember that at least in the United States any original writing with the words 'Copyright 2004 Member'sNick' will be legally considered copywrited. That is all that is required to protect posted work.
