  1. With a check that though the guards' attention was everywhere their eyes were elsewhere, he gave Akane a soft, respectful kiss.

"Good night, dear lady. Sleep well, assured of protection."

He waited while she closed the screens and for her guard to sit in front of her doorway, in the ready position, weapon on knees, to wait on duty all night.

With a soft grunt of acknowledgement, he too left the corridor, and his guard assumed a similiar position across from her door.

Shin settled into his chamber, laying on his futon, his weapons at hand and ready on their stand. He was a light sleeper, but his campaign days were long ago.

Staying up all night would do no good, leaving him tired, maybe even negligent in a fight if it came to it.

'If only a few years younger...' he thought, as he had many times before.

He slept softly and lightly that night.

    OOC

We've got to have a haiku party after the night phase.

    Prep 'em people.

    5 - 7 - 5, about the seasons.

    More later,

    Vahktang

  2. OOC:

    Dang you people are good.

"It is OK." Ishikawa responds "I have seen the gardens of the house of Mizuhara during this time. It should be nice to die amongst the sakura..."

    Good form.

    Round of applause please.

    IC:

Akane and Shin stop in the corridor in front of their separate bedrooms.

"My lord," says Akane, "I fear-"

"Shh," he says, putting his finger to her lips. "With these creatures about they will undoubtably go after me soonest. Take down the strongest, first, in the quiet of the night.

"At Lord Iago's suggestion, our guards tonight are armed with weapons covered in silver. According to lore, those are best against such shape shifters.

"And, if an attack on me allows others to live, that is a good thing, though I may die."

OOC: Library computer. Next post coming up.

    More later,

    Vahktang

  3. Wolves? Lord Iago, are you sure this is not just a tale? How can one of us here become such savage beast? There's honor in this table. If one of us could kill, it would be in honor and not in treachery!

Not wolves, my dear, shapechangers, those that are not what they seem.

Like the Kitsune, the Fox Women.

Thank you, Lord Iago-san, for your counsel.

Ninjas would not bother with the death of a paddy farmer - unless it covered another crime.

One that would kill like this, unhonorably, are the worst sort.

    We must suspect everyone.

I shapeshifter would not hesitate to disguise themselves as a noble, or a beneath notice farmer, or a priest sent to help.

Though a tourist is one of the more perfect covers.

Ishikawa-san, please tell me more of your travels.

Did you see the large golden buddha in the Kaga province?

    OOC: I accuse Vlad- Inoue

  4. (and yes Vahktang, I know the surname is first...)

Well, what it is is if you say it right it's a pun.

    I like puns.

    Vahktang- Shin, Washima (Clan Leader)

I made clan leader! I made clan leader!

Oh no, I have a huge target on me.

    :)

Lady Celes Crusader- Yumi, Kamiya (Unknown status)

    Geisha?

    More later,

    Vahktang

  5. Vahktang- Shin Washima

    That would be Washima Shin.

Family name first, in Japan, honored one.

don't try anything like seppuku to prove you're an honorable man and not a wolf, hm?

Personally, I think that would be the way to go.

We are not trusted by our own villagers.

    I am greatly dishonored.

    I will restore my honor.

Only the dishonorable wolves would not!

i mean whos to say that i wont leave a note in my pocket saying if you find me dead that it meant that So and so is probably the wolf because i confronted them.

We've always played that was possible.

Also, the possibility of it being forged.

A nice will and testament, BTW.

    More later,

    Vahktang

  6. Well, since I'm dead, this is all OOC.

    :)

He was a good neighbor in spite of his outward gruffness. He spoke his mind with no fear of consequences, for the sake of what he thought was the truth.

    Thank you.

That was what I was going for.

This is a good board, y'all should be proud.

    And:

But who will take care of my six kids?

They have no mother at the moment, I am (was) between wives.

Sure, two of them are over 20, but still, they're children.

Glad I was killed and not hung.

    More later,

    Vahktang

  7. OOC: Vahktang looks at clock.

    Hmm. Thursday, noon.

The death is 12 hours late.

    Par for the course.

    IC:

but I was reading with my cat.

    Reading to my cat?

Is that the best you can do?

Or is that some code for something that you do that shouldn't be said in polite company?

    Myself?

I had dinner with my six kids, we all went to bed and slept quietly until we were awoken.

    Check with them.

forgive me about stating we should move.

    Better.

Is that how its going to be Vahktang?! Just because a guy doesn't want face the harshness of murdering our friends and kin, despite their innocence, you will condemn them to death?

No, I condemn a person who would run away from his problems and leave his home and neighbors, but not with death.

And, he sensably changed his mind.

    Speaking of which:

So be your vote cast. Mine though shall be going against you! I defended you yesterday. I see that was a mistake now!

Since you are mistaken about my reasoning, could you reconsider my denouncement?

    More later,

    Vahktang

  8. OOC:

    Aaargh.

    They got the seer.

How do they do that so early?

Can we get a scorecard after the deaths?

    IC:

"We got rid of the Kramer, now let's get rid of the Otis.

    The down drunk.

A drain on all our abilities.

An embarrassment when we have visitors to our fair town.

X-sabre, I accuse you of being detrimental to our fair town.

Drunk or wolf, it matters little. Go hang yourself and save us the trouble.

    As to leaving town?

    Leaving our homes?

Being driven from where our ancestors are buried.

    [looks coldly at Damon Inferel]

    Coward!

    More later,

    Vahktang

  9. Vahktang watches the sacrifice.

"Well. Innocent. (sniff). Still an S.O.B. (He wipes at his eye and sniffs again).

I have to get back to work."

(He runs back to his business, locking himself away in his room. Soft sobs can be heard if one would listen at the door. And...)

"I'm a businessman. A good one. This sort of thing isn't supposed to happen. Not here. Not now. Not ever. And it's not going to stop until we're all dead."

    More later,

    Vahktang

  10. this may be forward in the accusations but it must start somewhere and I believe whoever starts it looks bad for being accusation happy. so knowing tha you other villagers have had it out for the stream going through my property I will start accusing from the choices of the village influential elders

Gwaihir, Damon Inferel, Lady Celes Crusader, Degenero Angelus, X-Sabre, Eyremon, Tanuchan, Merelas, Mira, Nave, Vahktang, and Spder's Soul

my choice for lynching is Vahktang. he seemed awfully paranoid about the village meeting today.

my choice for lynching is Vahktang.  he seemed awfully paranoid about the village meeting today.

I haven't even spoken yet, and I'm already paranoid?

You are just jealous of my sucessful weaving business.

And the fact I won't buy wool from your decrepid sheep!

Eyremon we've been neighbors for years, but I've been neighbors with Vahktang for longer. Sorry but if you cross him, you cross me!

I say this noose should fit nicely around Eyremon's neck!

    I agree with my neighbor.

Eyremon is a loudmouth anyway, and the village would be better off without him - even if he isn't a wolf!

[i bite my thumb at him]

    More later,

    Vahktang

  11. Heh, he might post this as well, but here is a report sent to the moderators:

Speaking of old school, Vahktang here from the Kenzerco boards.

And the point of the game is to _not_ die.

    Stop volunteering.

    More later,

    Vahktang

And he does have a point. If I were a wolfbaner, I'd just protect one of you per night just in case the werewolves took you up on your offers. ;P

Also, Vahktang, the Report button is nowhere near the 'Reply to' button, so please don't use it unless there is something offensive found within a post. Thank you.

    Oops.

    Sorry.

Didn't mean to bother the board mods.

Hope I did it right this time.

    But, I'm still in.

    More later,

    Vahktang
