  1. Of course, you must be right Ayshela. Funny thing about birthdays though, is people always ask if you feel any older. I gave it alot of thought this year, and I have to admit that I don't feel any older as yet.

When does that "feeling older" stuff start to kick in?

  2. Two stars, rocketing through the vast emptiness of space, not knowing their destination or path, collide.

Two souls, indifferent to each other until now, unite as one and continue on with their now intertwined journey.

Two people, now hand in hand, hearts beating as one to a rhythm unique, stand exposed before their families.

Two lives, now living as one, sharing the times both good and bad, united in all they do, from dawn to dawn.

  3. Emotions, how they flow

    Violent, a churning flood

    Surging past the ramparts

    Supposed to protect my heart.

    Writhing shadows surround me

    Tearing through my soul

    Feasting off the harvest

    Reaped from their insipid trespass.

    Gentle words and soft touch

    Shadows whither and die

    Taking with them the ruin

Of the bulwark they did destroy.

    Ensorcelled by the light

    Vulnerable, though protected anew

    The tide ebbs and flows

    Unblemished and pure.

  4. There was one tiny segment of this piece that I didn't like quite as much as the rest, which were the lines "But I can not./ Worse yet." inbetween stanzas four and five. Those two lines didn't really seem to add anything to the poem to me, as they seemed to be implied by the stanzas that followed them.

I read this poem as though someone were telling me a story. Those lines, to me, are where the storyteller stopped for a moment and then continued on.

I wish I could stay a child forever, but I cannot. Worse yet, I'm losing my memory as I grow older.

  5. Regrettably, I haven’t posted anything since I was accepted as a member. Just couldn’t find any motivation. I hope this is adequate.

    Mysterious Wisdom

    Within the wind’s wisdom

    A mystery may be found.

If you wish it not revealed

    End the search now.

    Autumn leaves wither and fall

    Yet the wind continues on

    Gently caressing all it touches.

Smiling, I watch it move along.

    Before coming my way

The wind brushed by your heart.

    A mystery compounded,

    Where do I start?

    Avoiding the clues

    I don’t want to know.

If I may have your love,

I can let the wind go.

  6. clears throat "Her, Lord Wyvern? I do believe that last I was aware..." pausing a moment to ensure he is free of any magiks, especially those that may alter appearance "...I was most certianly NOT female."

"I see you have utterly destroyed a fair number of your Christmas lights, perhaps you could be persuaded to purchase more? These are more tolerant of what you are decorating for, and should last you many seasons."

  7. Shadows’ Walk

    As I walk,

    This path through life,

    My shadow follows,

    Wrought with strife.

    Silently observing,

    Noticing all I do,

    My shadow cherishes,

    Time spent with you.

    I wish it could say,

    The things I cannot,

    But would that take meaning,

    From things it should not?

    Your shadow is one,

    My shadow knows of,

    If I didn’t know better,

    I’d say it’s in love.

    When next we meet,

    And spend time together,

    Watch our shadows,

    How they compliment each other.

    My shadow’s walk,

    Mimics my own,

    Though I think it wearies,

    Of walking alone.

    Would your shadow walk,

    Hand in hand with mine,

    As we follow this path,

    Through the sands of time?

    As the sun grows long,

    Our shadows retire,

    Alone with each other

    Our shadows’ true desire.
