  1. So far have read all of Martin's books that have come out very good reading indeed. Another series that I am in the middle of is by Raymond Feist the first book in the series is Shadow of a Dark Queen i believe. It was descent reading not the best but by far not the worst. Another good series that I have recently read is By Sara Douglas. I don't remember the name of the series, but it was very good.
  2. Very good if I do say so. Keep up the good work.
  3. As the shadow falls on Wyvern the door to the room opens to admit a tall woman with large silver wings. She waves timidly to the others in the room and quickly begins to make her way to a table in the corner. OOC: Well it is hard to be able to post when you don't have an internet connection. That is my only excuse. Umm..... That will probably double as Brute's too.
  4. The light grew short as Silver finally came to the edge of the forest. Landing lightly she decided to rest where she was for the evening. The first rays of dawn woke her from her slumber. Slowly stretching her weary muscles she took to wing to learn what lay ahead of her. Rising above the trees she saw a small town. Already the bustly of the day could be saan in the community beyond the forest. Landing once again at her nigths camp site she retrieved her belongings from the ground. After rummaging through her pack for a few moments she found her cloak and donned it. There is no need for the people of the town to be frightned by my wings. she thought to herself. Setting out towards her new destination she was filled with a new sense of hope that everything would work out this time. The sun was becoming unbearable as Silver entered the town. Walking along the main road she found the first establishment that looked hospitable and walked through the double doors that provided an entrance. As she entered the room she noticed that it was a rather well off crowd that had gathered in the common room. Scanning the room she foudn a solitary table in a remote corner and asked the first serving girl she saw to bring her a drink and a hot meal. Walking across the room to her desired table every eye in the room followed her. Turning to watch the door the talk once again resumed in the room. She was use to recieving the reaction that she had for her appearance was uncommon enough without the wings showing. ooc: There will be more later if anyone cares to read it but it is getting late and I am about to veg. out in front of the tv.
  5. " I believe they were talking about a hamburger coming out of someones nose. " A voice repiled to Stick's question. "Is that right?" The moon elf asked. Turning around to see what all the comotion was about she laid eyes upon......
  6. She flew on till her wings could carry her no longer. As she began her slow descent into the woods she thought she saw the edge of the forest on the horizion. The small glade that she found herself in at midday seemed peaceful enough. Surveying the area she noticed a small stream running through it. Keeping a wary on on the forest around her she bent to take a quick drink from the stream. When she had drank her fill she found a relatively concealed spot on the edge of the glade to rest for a while. The sun had sunk a little in the west and silver decided that it was time to put a little more distance between her and her pursurers. Rising slowly to her feet she carefully scanned the glade to see if there was anyone around. Creeping her way out she finally made it to the middle of the glad. Taking to wing she rose above the trees. Hovering for a moment to get her bearings she headed for what looked to be the edge of the forest. She figured that she should be able to make it there my evening if nothing happened to impeed her progress. (Sorry for the short post but it is late, will write more when it is not so late in the evening.)
  7. As the almost dragon makes a hasty retreat Silver turns to Gyrfalcon. "You know probably the best excuse he could have come up with was some kind of liscensing chare for Seyan or something along those lines." Silver thinks on it for a moment. "Maybe I should .... I think I will. Heh give him a taste of his own medicine. Gotta go Gyrfalcon, Peredhil, talk to you two later." Silver waves to the two of them as she rushes out to find Wyvern. She thinks that she knows how she can get rid of her "debt" to Wyvern without ever paying it.
  8. As the day broke Silver awoke with a sudden start. She knew she had heard something this time. Slowly rising to her feet she took a look around her. Off to her right she noticed movement. Who was it? She had figured that running through the woods would be less conspicuous than flying over the forest. Watching the place where she had seen the movement she slowly started backing away from her small camp. As she retreated she saw another figure dart from where she was looking to another tree close by. Then she began to pick out other figures off behind the first slowy advancing on her. They have found me, she thought. As that thought crossed her mind she turned and ran. Behind her she heard the sound of pursuit. Her mind raced along with her feet. She knew that she was faster than them, she had outrun them once already, but was she to be on the run forever? The idea came to her that since she wasn't going to lose them for long she might as well break down and fly she could escape them for a while that way. If she could get away again for awhile then at least she could choose the location of their encounter. Pulling off her cloak as the trees rushed by she spread her wings and took to the air. She rose higher and higher. Shortly she was above the trees and looking to see if she could find the road. Searching the ground back the way she had come she saw a small path leading through the forest. She swiftly flew to where it was. To her surprise it was the road. Flying swiftly, keeping the road in sight, she made her way along hoping that she would find the end of the forest and maybe a place where she could find some help. (This is to write off my Weenie award. Hopefully this is enough. If I get enough resposes I shall continue to write this tale.)
  9. "Thank you for remembering Peredhil." Silver says as she gives im big happy hugs as well. As Peredhil releases her she turns her thoughtful gaze on Wyvern. "Might I inquire as to the nature of this supposed debt that I owe you? I seem not to remember this debt. Please enlighten me as to the circumstances surrounding my involvement in this supposed debt. I believe you may have me mistaken for another." At the end of her inquarry into this supposed debt to Wyver (which she figures is bogus) Seyan her tiny silver dragon comes flying into the room and promptly perches on Silver's shoulder. Giving the almost dragon her most endurig look she patiently waits for his reply.
  10. Please dear sir enlighten me on how to do that for I know not what it means. And also tell me please if you know. Has Brute returned? The nagging question that I have though dear sir is does anyone remember me. As I said before if you want to hear the tale just ask and i shall enlighten all who know me and wish to hear the tale.
  11. Oh dear dwarf please tell us more. I long to hear the story that may issue from your tounge. Share with us the rest of this tale that never before was heard.
  12. Hello to all old and new. For all of you who remember me hello again anew. I wish to return to this pleasant place. To rejoin friends long lost. And to all those who remember, (and I guess Peridhil, sorry if i misspelled the name, still does.) thank you for the happy birthday note for this year and the last. (And I shall try to get Brute to start talking again.) If anyone wants to know what happened i shall gladly tell the tale but for this day just know my friends that all now is well.
  13. With the wind beneath her wings she flew over the trees. Looking at Adglomero she smiled to herself. She had forgotten how much she loved to fly. Soaring alongside Seyan she sent many pictures to the small dragon. Watching the guardian beneath her she sent a message to Adglomero, "So lets slow or pace so that he can keep up. I have the feeling that he just might come in handy." As the day grew longer Silver landed and they all began to set up camp for the night. OOC: I'm thinking that something should come up on us tonight. Something that we can fight. Just to liven things up a bit. Any suggestions? And please just suggestions for now till we decide.
  14. Looking at the guardian Silver said "Yes, but considering my father do you think that it would have taken more than just that one being to kill him? I don't know much about the thing that you are talking about but I did know my father and he was quite powerful and he had lived for a very long time." "I also think that we should get to the next city as soon as possible. I am going to fly around this mess ahead and land on the other side of the village. I hope that everyone will meet me there." Unfolding her wings she waited for everyones assent.
  15. As the wind blew her cloak from over her wings Silver spread them. Looking her most fearsome. If the others could tell what was running through her mind they would probably be ashamed. She guessed that they had as much as forgotten that she could fly. What Damon did not know is that Silver had figured as much when Seyan had come back at breakneck speed. Looking at Damon she said, "I do believe that that wind was from him. And it will take more than us to kill him. To have killed my father he is very powerful." As Adglomero and Heimalis landed she continued with her speach. "I was going to smeak in to where he lived on the night. But it seems that now I may not be able to do this. Does anyone have any suggestions?"
  16. Taking in what Adglomero said on top of Kordrak she studied the situation that she had gotten herself into, well I guess there is nothing that I can do about it now, she thought. Squirming herself into a more comfortable position she prepared for an uneasy night. All she wanted was a little company. The last thought that passed through her mind was that she would just have to put up with it. Red and gold streaks lined to horizion as they stirred from sleep and headed out on what was their last day in the woods. Walking through the crisp morning air always lightened Silver's temper. Looking to Adglomero she said "If you would fly on your roc today. The edge of the forest is near and I would like to have another scout up there if there is anything that I need to know you can let me know through Seyan. Hiemalis and her are capable of communicating." Looking at Seyan the little dragon launced herself into the air sending a series of rapid images back to Silver of the things that she saw.
  17. Eyeing the new members of their party without a comment she strode on down the path. As the woods began to grow more sparse the sun began to set on that most glorious day that could have become fatal. Finding a small clearing off of the trail she decided to set camp there. Waiting for the others to get settled in Seyan returned with their meal. Looking around she gave Seyan her share of the rabbits that she had caught, and handed the other to Adglomero, "Here is something to eat if anyone wants to start a fire share." Digging into her pack she pulled out her trail rations and began to eat. As everyone finished eating she looked around. Noticing that most of the day Adglomero had hung more towards the back of the group and had said not a word Silver looked at the creature from the abyss. "Where is Heinrich? Why has he not returned? I had grown rather fond of his and Damons constant quibbles." As Silver addressed Kordrak she noticed that Adglomero's mood seemed to deepen and she seemed to draw in on herself more. Looking at Kordrak she said simply, "And stay more towards the rear of the group from now on you disturb her," motioning to Adglomero, "And I rather enjoy it when she is talkitive I have had little compny other than myself in a long time." Waiting for his reply she gently rubbed Seyan's head preparing her for another day of hard travels. OOC: Yes, I agree that as we are talking it should be understood that we are walking also. Oh and Tamaranis we don't mind if you show up later.
  18. Looking at Damon she shruged. "Those two ahead mean us no harm, if they happen upon us let them be they have no foul intentions. But as you said earlier if they could not take care of themselves they would not have made it this far." Turning to Heinrich she said, "Why don't you tell it to go on its way as it plaeses and thank you for its help. It is apreciated. That is if it wants to go on its way. And not to be rude, but how do you think that i knew where to go? I can sense my fathers blood on their hads even with as long as it has been. That is how I have been tracking them and how I know where to go even though I do not know this land." "Adglomero you may come down now I don't think that Damon is going to try anymore of his 'stunts'. And if he does I shall give him a sound beating demon or no." Silver said staring straight at Damon with a look that broached no nonsense out of anyone. With that said she turned and waited for the illithid to decide what he was going to do.
  19. Welcome to the pen and it is a joy to rp with you. Later!
  20. Sensning the other two creatures ahead of her as Heinrich did she focused on the illithid in front of her. Looking at Heinrich she asked "Do you think he poses a threat?" Then she spoke to the illithid. "Why are you here? What do you want?" Searching his face for any sign of a lie to the thoughts that he sent her. From the look of him she would say that he was tough and that she should not underestimate him. Silver had been alive for thousands of years and had delt with things at least as old as this, she thought. "Oh, and, Heinrich, dear, we need to talk when we get out of this." With that she waited for the creatures reply.
  21. As she watched in silence she wondered if those two would ever work out their differences. "Ok, you two stop." she said in a very athoritative voice. "Stand down for a moment Damon be be ready none the less I do not know what this thing is, but I wish to be unscathed when I meet the people that destroyed my father." Looking at the thing in front of her she warily examined the surrounding foliage, making sure that nothing else was going to jump out while they decided what to do. "What do you know of these creatures Heinrich?" Silver asked as she took wing keeping herself just above the ground if violence began. Turning to the creature she said "If you are here to harm do so if not spill it and tell us why you were stalikng us. If you give one word that I disapprove of I shall let Damon have his way. Speak lively now and maybe you shall be unharmed from this encounter." Giving the creature a cold stare and blocking everything else from her head she waited for the creatures reply. OOC:Welcome. I hope that you can get along better with one of them than they do between themselves but if you can get past my big meany of a char. then I hope you have fun. And please don't take offense to my comments guys I was kidding.
  22. Damon's statement only heightened what she had already sensed. "I know that dear but if you would kindly tell me what this this is that is coming I would be much oblidged." With that she took up a nonchalant stance next to Damon and drew her sword. The handle was made of her fathers tooth to remind her of her quest, with the hilt in the form of a sleeping dragon. The blade was made of no material that she had ever seen for she had retrieved it from her fathers lair. As she stood waiting for what was to come she remembered the day that she had found her father dead. It was a surprise to her that she had found her father's hord intact. It was then that she realized that there had been a spell cast on it so than none other than the blood could pass for she found three corpses not far into the passage leading to it. She knew that the men had only come for the treasure that her father had possesed. That was when her search had begun. "Adglomero, about him," Silver said eyeing the roc, "and Seyan. The little wimp loves to fly she just does not know what to do about such a large bird. That and she doesn't know how he shall act towards her. She is a very cautious little thing." Sword in had she mentally prepared herself for what stalked them. ooc:will someone else please decide what it is that we are about to fight? My mind has drawn a blank as to what it could be.
  23. Watching the strange bird land and the newcomer take Heinrich's hands she wondered what the connection was between the two of them. As their greeting, or at least that is what she thought it was, ended she turned and began down the trail again. Seyan hid behind her hair, all the while not knowing how the roc was going to react, wisely Silver thought, for she did not know what to make of the strange party that she had somehow gathered to her. With the sun creeping higher into the sky she wondered what it was that this day would hold. Sensing what was around them helped in many ways, and as her mind wandered she began to wonder what had brought this woman to them. "So, Adglomero what brings you this far into the woods?" While waiting for her reply she told Seyan to scout ahead, for she sensed something up ahead. What it was she could not tell. "There is something ahead of us. I do not know what it is. I just sent Seyan to see." Without another word and waiting for Adglomero to reply she trudged on ahead.
  24. As the sun rose over the trees it made a firey ring on the horizion. Silver woke from her slumber and began making her preparations to leave. While she was readying her things to leave Seyan appeared from her morning forey. Chirpping at her the little dragon took up her accustomed place under Silver's hair. Not bothering to check if the others were awake she set about preparign her morning tea, making a small fire from the coals that were left from the night before. Slowly sipping her tea she waited for the others to begin stirring so they could set off for the day.
  25. Carefully listening to their conversation, while seeming to be consumed in sharpening her sword she whispered something to Seyan and shortly there after the tiny dragon flew from sight only to return moments later with a two rabbits for the fire. As the two finally grew quiet she looked up, her silver eyes glowing in the firelight. "As to what my object is here I am hunting the men who killed my father. It could not have been a mere man though for he was a very old silver dragon. They did not pass this way; they went around the forest, but from their trail where I left off they were headed to the other side of the forest. I can still sense my fathers blood on them. That is how I track them even though i am months behind them." With that she went back to sharpening her sword. At the two mens stares regarding her sudden interest in speaking she said, "If you do not wish to go with me now I shall understand, but the company is nice to have, even if the two of you are going to have to be broken up constantly." With that she pulled a small spit from her backpack, skinned the rabbits, and put them over the fire. The night lengthened and when Seyans rabbits were cooked she took one for herself and gave the other to Heinrich. "As it seems that you do ahve to eat here eat this, Heinrich, or what ever your name is." Sharing hers with Seyan she finished her rabbit in silence. "I do hope that the two of you shall stop this quibbling some time soon." Looking at the Witch Hunter she added "How old are you really? With all the tricks you have tried to play on us it is becoming harder to believe you. So out with it or I may decide to leave you behind being as you do not know my intended destination." With that she settled back and waited for his reply. OOC: My powers are limited as I am only half dragon. I go by D&D rules more often than not myself. So you see a "mere human" shall be helpful I am sure."
