  2. Night is here its deep and dark you can't see what is out there in the dark its there waiting for you to make the wrong move so it can spring to attack you trying to move but you can not see what direction to move in or where it might be you hear its breathing but can not see the direction it lies in waiting for me the terror grips you as you try to move free from the sound you hear, where might it be you sit down too frightened to move then it springs to attack and lands softly in you lap and purrs.
  3. It starts out little and they say don't worry it will go away and as the days go by what started out little increases in size it grows and grows and won't go away but it is not really there when it's chronic they say don't worry it will go away someday But someday will only come at the end of your life
  4. Very well done! I love it, the poem not the migraine.
  5. Thank you, I will be posting more. I got a couple more works in the fire.

  7. The flames that consume hopefully all of us soon, the whole human race taken away from this place so it can start anew. Let the fire burn all we have done to nothing but ash - our bodies, building, and life itself. Let the eternal flame burn it all, the wars and hatred burn away. Burn and consume all that you see - a cleansing by fire is what we all need. End all wars with your flames and your heat. With your flame burn all who started the war games, we will never learn that war is not fun. The only sure way to make sure it is done is to burn and consume - please fire and flame, do it soon.
  8. I really like it, it got a nice flow and imagery.

  10. I wrote this a couple years ago, and it keeps showing up on my computer in odd files. Anger the anger i carrie around like a big ball and chain everywhere i go it still the same it likes to hide deep inside and i think that its gone and it pop up at that time it sits and festers until I can't take it no more and i turn it lose to cause trouble once more sometimes i think i must be insane to have this much anger and feel so much pain days like today i should just sleep away so no one can see the anger in me it so hard to control i just have to let go i pray each day that it will just stay away and give me a break from getting angry today to let me rest and give my mind a break
  11. Thank you for the very nice feedback.
  12. A poem I wrote a while back. VietnamVet you're 18 and so confused you really don't know what to do then uncle sam says I want you with gun in hand you're on a plane to a place thats dark and strange you're young and eager to play the game he says to kill for the flag for duty and honor and to stay alive and the first time in battle you're terrified you turn to drugs to try to hide and if you manage to survive you become hard and callused and numb inside the people you kill aren't people any more they become objects and casualties of war they're just faceless things that have to die some times you even forget why so many people have to die for freedom and liberty and apple pie when your tour is done and at home again no one gives you a welcome then they call you murderer and spit on your back then years later the nightmare returns you're there again under attack you shoot at them and they shoot back the sound of a chopper or even a loud crack the next thing you know is you're back you relive the battle in your mind to you its real and you react you get called crazy and other things you don't fit in now that you're back you live in the streets and no one cares how or why or what keeps you there that you were there in vietnam
