Guest Heart Like A Hole Posted March 8, 2002 Report Share Posted March 8, 2002 take a look around, are you seeing what i'm seeing? take a look around, are you feeling what i'm feeling? we can't keep turning our eyes from this funeral pyre we can't deny that our hatred's first spark has kindled this hellish fire the skin is peeling, and i don't know if it will ever heal the way things are as they stand take a look around, can't you see the sun above us, my friend? you can't take it for your own it only means this much because it is something you can't touch all you can do is carry the memory with you take a look around, and maybe you can feel what i'm feeling we're all connected and no one is alone though we like to pretend we can't hide from the light forever we can only stumble in chains for so long you can deny the tears in your eyes, but that doesn't mean you aren't crying you can claim to be dumb you can say that you're numb but the fire is roaring and i know you feel the heat take a look around, you might be surprised the daylight hasn't been stolen you just closed your eyes take a look around, and you just might find there are hands reaching for you it's so precious because you can't take it with you you have to keep it in your memory and despite what you might be fearing, no one is alone we are never alone Edited by: Heart Like A Hole at: 3/7/02 8:19:01 pm Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
