Kikuyu_Black_Paws Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 You stroll across the street See a black cat stare at you Potted plants in the window Chipped wall paint Eyes stare from all the corners Eyes stare from all the shadows A bird flies from a cage on charcoal wings A scarlet spot on its chest It chirps once and is gone A shadow on a cloud Eyes stare from all the corners Eyes stare from all the shadows You paused in front of my window You paused to look at the bird in my window With a red spot on its chest A bloody spot of pain Eyes stare from all my corners Eyes stare from all my shadows You touched my wings You touched my eyes The cage door opens I am free Eyes stare from corners and shadows Eyes stare and I stare back.
